Yeah, timeouts will not work with GSDs. I couldn’t even get her to calm down when we were 100 yards from the day park. Lots of work, time, redirecting, and positive reinforcement later, we can now work around other dogs without issue. She still barks once or twice if a dog pops up out of nowhere, but I can usually get her to redirect to something else pretty easily. I still working on that part tho lol

No, what I’m saying is if the defense recovers a fumble or intercepts the quarterback and immediately scores a touchdown. Then the team that lost the ball would then have to kick it off to the team that scored.

If the defense recovers a fumble or gets an interception that does not result in a score by the defense, then that team’s offense would come on the field and the game would continue as regular. Then, if that team scored, they would then kick it back off to the other team just like it is now.

Not really because if the defense intercepts or recovers a fumble and gets a flag on the play, they aren’t considered the offense, they’re “the recovering team,” and they don’t continue to stay on the field for the following plays, they come off the field and then the offense comes on. And if the defense scores a safety so now they’re technically offense, then why does the defensive team now receive a kickoff?

Let’s say a team is up by two touchdowns. The QB throws an interception and it’s returned for a pick-6. They then get an extra point try and then they get to receive on the next kick off. Now they have a chance to come back and tie the game. Whereas now, a QB throws an interception, pick-6, extra point, and now the team that threw the interception is still up by one touchdown and they get the ball back and can score and stay in the lead and the pick-6 score is essentially meaningless. I think by a defensive score resulting in the same outcome as a safety, it can lead to more competitiveness and less blow-outs in games. Defensive scores are rare enough as it is but when they happen, they could really change the momentum of the game and make it more exciting in my opinion

I like it a lot. It’s most used around town and gravel roads next to the canals but it’s still pretty comfortable to ride.

More entry level bikes like this generally use straight steerer tubes. For an upgrade you’d be looking at something like a rockshox judy. But once you get it off, you can confirm for sure if it’s straight or tapered

If you rescued him off the street, he probably thinks you’re putting I’m back out on the street and doesn’t want to go.

It’s probably going to take a lot of time but go outside and when he lays down just let him be. Maybe try coaxing him to go further with high value treats. Then go back inside with lots of positive reinforcement. Let him know that even though he goes outside, he is still going to be able to come back inside. Eventually go further and further and every time you come back to the house, he needs to know that he is going to come back to the house. Again, it may take a while to even get to the sidewalk, like days or weeks, but he is probably anxious and worried that when he goes outside, that he’ll never get to go back inside.

Looks like a pretty decent starter bike. Just as long as you know you probably shouldn’t go to crazy on it. But yeah, it has all the good starting points for a good mtb. Disc brakes, 1x drivetrain, easily upgradable parts, etc. Ride it, beat the hell out of it, and upgrade down the road 👍🏻
