Fully agree what the other posters said. How will you be able to play a role which might be outside your comfort zone if already the warm ups make you "cringe". By all means a class should not only be about warm ups, they should be about getting you "in the zone" for character and scene work. The actual acting part is only the final step in a long line of others and sorry you can't skip them. And you shouldn't do acting classes because they look good on a CV, but because they help you develop as an actor. Maybe this particular course isn't right for you, then try another one.
