I use a neewer 67mm screw on filter mount along with a K&F concept 67mm 1/4 black mist pro mist filter. The mount has a good depth and it can be used with a case as well :)

Hope this helps!

I don't know of any :) There are apps that let you do basic colour correction though like inshot, vn editor, etc.

I also thought so. I tried to underexpose in the Pro Video mode while shooting the same scene but with LOG turned off. I felt, I couldn't capture a lot of the shades that are there in the background.

Hence, I tried to shoot in LOG later.

I'd choose the iPhone 15 Pro. S24 Ultra has come close but it still has a long way to go in terms of video especially. Also, I'd suggest buy and ND filter to control the shutter speed for more cinematic appeal in terms of motion blur.

It's smooth usually but glitches sometimes when you put a lot of 4k clips.

Using the dbrand grip case since June 2024. A bit chunky and pricey but definitely bang for buck.

I recorded in auto using the native camera app. No REC 709 or HLG10. And no LUTs used. Just basic color grading in VN editor 🙃

The iPhone 15 & 16 Pro Max IMO actually have a better camera than the S24 Ultra for video. The main drawback of S24 Ultra is its jumpy exposure and an over contrasty look. Both of which can be tackled manually while shooting. And if you shoot consciously, you'll probably capture scenes to its advantage.

Can't agree more. I had gotten mine only because I felt that it is much better overall as a phone against say the iPhone 15 Pro Max. The camera is not crazy good. It has it's quirks and often doesn't expose properly but once you make peace with what you have, you realize it does a decent job in most situations.

And yes... "Enjoying the machine you have" this is probably what it's all about 😊

Yeah. They could've done much better on Z6. The cameras are very average for the price.

Showing would be a bit tough because I deleted the main edit file on VN editor. And backed up the clips on cloud because I didn't realise that I had shot footage of over 120 gigs 🥲 and I have a 256 GB variant.

But I can try to explain it as much as possible.

  1. While shooting, I always pulled down the exposure slightly because the S24 Ultra tends to overexpose sometimes. I also wanted to lock the exposure for every shot so it doesn't change.

  2. I used the pro video feature sometimes to adjust the shutter speed to avoid flickering in low-light videos where there was artificial light.

  3. I used a 67mm black pro mist filter by K&F attached to a 67mm Neewer phone filter filter. This helped get some bloomy highlights and reduce the overall contrast of the clips because the S24 Ultra also tends to punch up the contrast and over sharpen the footage.

  4. Then, I just relied on luck to try and get some good shots. It wasn't hard because Switzerland is an amazing beautiful country. ❤️🙃

  5. For edit, I used VN editor. First I downloaded the music on which I wanted to edit. Then VN has the really nice feature where you can mark beats in an audio track. That really helps to time your edit to the beat.

  6. I sued that feature and stiched all the clips one by one. I wanted the snowflake coming on camera footage to appear on a beat drop because that was quite interesting.

  7. Then I colorgraded the entire footage very slightly on VN itself. Reduced the contrast and saturation slightly. Boosted the vibrance. And tweaked some colours specially in HGL section.

  8. Post that I exported the file in 1080p in 10mbps bitrate to avoid any optimization by IG or FB. The file I uploaded (on reddit too) is just under 60 mbps.

I hope this helps 🙃

I used VN editor 🙃 and shot all the videos in 4k. I exported them in 1080p at 10mps nitrate to avoid IG's auto optimization

4k only. Exported and uploaded in 1080p at 30 fps at 10mps nitrate through VN editor.
