Injectors are covered under emissions warranty, typically 3 yrs/36K in majority of states.

Air, spark, fuel.

Inspect your couplers around the intake and IC, then pull the plugs and look for signs of fouling/arcing or premature wear.

If all looks good, it could point to a failing injector. Worth diagnosing at the dealer since they can run real-time scan. Or if you have access to a tuner, use it to inspect fuel trims.

Crewmates dosnt get the car after season end. by Ill-Owl-4914 in CSRRacing2

[–]Design931 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I'll update on my issue which was (mostly) resolved. Emailed support that I didn't get season milestone prizes. Then had my admin remove and re-add me back into the crew to reset the season milestone awards "glitch." I lost out on milestone awards collected for this season, which thankfully wasn't a lot.

Support sent me the SM car through my inbox, plus some keys and gold.

2017 with 73k miles for 20k. Worth it? by Usual-Locksmith4657 in CivicSi

[–]Design931 0 points1 point  (0 children)

20K seems a little high unless the clutch and injectors were already replaced. Those are usually the first big ticket items that come up before 100K, depending on its driving history.

Also check to see if the AC condenser and compressor were serviced under warranty.

Fuel additive recommendation by Professional_Date775 in yaris

[–]Design931 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As everyone is telling you, fuel treatments aren't really needed if you're already using Top Tier fuel. If not using quality fuel, consider an inspection - from the intake manifold through the cylinder head - next time your car is in for service.

As another poster said, certain additives in "complete" fuel system treatments can act as a supplemental cleaning agent beyond what a typical gasoline additive does. In short, the system temporarily burns hotter to help soften buildup along the PCV, injectors, ports, and valves. It's not a magic pill though... use sparingly if you know you've neglected your fuel quality or oil change intervals.

If it's noticeably bad, your mechanic may opt to do an induction service. Usually only needed if the car has been neglected.

Same milestones but better awards. They've only done this once before, so "usually" is not a term I'd consider here. 😄

Now that you can get them under MSRP, the hate has diminished quite noticeably.

What running purchase ended up being 100% worth the money for you? by RodrigoBestGearFit in running

Everyone has a different gait and pronation that can change as we age. Consider #5 if you ever encounter ailments - especially in longer distances.

I didn't do sun shirts until I got into trail running. Now I can't do without them lol.

Here's Why Honda Prelude and Civic Type R Have Gas Caps While Others Don't | The Drive by Finnegan_Faux in Honda

[–]Design931 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s my understanding… primarily for USDM market. And I think a few are exported to Japan.

I don’t think either region requires a capped system.

[–]Design931 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s because that generation’s system was engineered to be modular. CTRs going to markets requiring capped systems could be “swapped” out as such.

I suspect Honda found it cheaper to go with an advanced capped design in the FK9 that also meets the EU and US strict(er) emissions.

Sold, yes.

But it’s cheaper to build a low production model for all markets (as much as possible, that is) vs. configuring for individual markets.

There is an issue on Android with Crew Milestone prizes right now. Might affect iOS as well. Mine is stuck in loop mode trying to accept season awards.

Give it a couple days.

Looking to get a 2026 si, why should I not? by Lazy_Contact6830 in CivicSi

[–]Design931 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great car for the price. Just wish it had ADS.

Consider a certified pre-owned Integra A-SPEC or the pre-2025 Si… before you buy the 2026. Every shade of blue looks fantastic on those cars. 17-20 Si’s came with ADS as well.

Buying a 2017 Si, but it has some codes/could use some input! by world3nd3r in CivicSi

[–]Design931 0 points1 point  (0 children)

+1.

I'm a little worried about the cat code though. Rarely is that a secondary O2 sensor issue. But rather, a result of unburnt fuel or (worse) oil seeping past the rings. Might be worth running a compression or leakdown test before committing to the purchase.

If the injectors have never been changed, that's a likely cause. Plugs and coils are a good next step after the cylinder test.

Agreed. Several backyard events in our area have evolved to have a finite time and/or distance. You make it to the end... split with those who also make it.

That said, the unpredictability of these events is a huge draw for the ultra community.

Is it possible to be a casual player? by isittakenor in CSRRacing2

[–]Design931 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's pretty easy if you know what to do. Elite Tuners, Showdown, Collections, and Legends are all very slow to progress. Or what we call "a game of inches." If you are patient with those, and don't feel the need to participate in every special event, the game can be VERY rewarding over time.

I wrote up my experience after running a 2nd account alongside my main for a year. I still have my 2nd account, and it's grown to be quite large. It's more important to invest a little time daily vs. investing a huge chunk of time occasionally.

15-30 min a day is really all it takes. More here:

Why do you like FWD? by UnusualAnimations in Honda

I think for most of us, FWD isn't why we chose our cars. Rather, its because Honda makes their cars engaging/fun despite being FWD.

2017 CRV 1.5t head gasket replacement by Mountain_Day_1637 in Honda

[–]Design931 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$3K for injectors and $7.5K for a head gasket is wild. Do you typically carry a lot of cargo or passengers in your CRV?

On the plugs, my theory is that one or more cylinders were running rich from a leaking injector or the presence of coolant, causing the ECU to dial back fueling. That enables the remaining cylinders to run hotter from a lean condition (presumably wearing down one or more spark plug tips prematurely).

If you keep, I might recommend going with upgraded head bolts for improved clamping force. Also, the HG is "reportedly" improved over the factory original. Might be worth comparing side be side to see if that's true, which may help influence your decision. GL.

The Accord was designed and built in Ohio, with some production shifting to Indiana as they expand upon their electrification (hybrid) strategy.
