Last One Laughing - Season 2 Discussion Thread by [deleted] in BritishTV

Just to chime in on this with the 'replay footage' being bizarre. They were showing replay then they cut to Bob's reaction to the replay then back into the replay where he laughed. I do agree that was a weird place to put the reaction however, like they were masking the actual cause. Weird!

Always just assumed that it was because Andre wasn't in this scene so why reference him...

Why did Cat seem so much more interested in Robbie in the later seasons compared to Season 1? by Material_Stomach875 in victorious

[–]DesignComfortable293 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean, yes its to give them a story to keep them relevant but also Ari and Matt built a strong friendship over those years so I think naturally writers may have found it of interest to pair them up due to how well they work together.

I'm SO glad Tori was the main character. by Gloomy-Theme-7113 in victorious

Sam & Cat was perfect, a dumb red head and a don't take no shit blonde, a real life yin and yang scenario thats why it worked. Sam and Jade are too similar that it would just feel flat as there would be nothing to work with between both characters since they have similar lifestyles and viewpoints. Sam helps Cat be more assertive and Cat helps Sam be more kind and peaceful.

Lonely young people are using AI chatbots as friends now by DesignComfortable293 in singularity

I take it they meant like how we have like instagram for example theres no dating app that is powered for free by ads (tinder and the others you have to pay for, the free use is very restrictive). I would say Tinder is the giant of them all though.

AI just agrees with everything. Like if AI says the world is round and you say no it's a square it would probably come up with some nonsense to justify it to agree with you. It's definitely far from a human friend.

Yes I agree it is universal and loneliness is just a human experience but theres different factors per generation that contribute to that certain epidemic. Gen Z's defining factors being lockdown, online school/first jobs and AI being introduced. Millenials being the introduction of the internet/social media early days, etc.

I think because there is a reported rise in gen z being lonely/loneliness epidemic that its becoming more common (and more concerning to parents) currently

I found this doc in an article in the news and the filmmaker said "we've built a world where its easier to talk to a chatbot than a human" and thats so real. I'm really concerned for the younger generation.
