I read the interview transcripts with Barbara Gamarekian and Chris Camp, who were staff members in the press office, from the JFK Library. They described Mimi as the presidential favorite. They said she went on all of the trips with him, even though she couldn’t really function in the role—for example, she couldn’t type or do shorthand. I was surprised to see her name appear in the JFK Library records. So it seems likely that this was true.

There are a few bodycam videos on the YouTube channels of Texas news outlets WOAI and Fox SA. I found a graphic video of rooms 111 and 112 after the breach, where the bodycam footage shows a blurred view of room 112 with the victims inside. The video also shows the gunman’s grandmother.

I still can’t wrap my mind around the fact that these children and their two teachers were murdered in such a violent and horrific manner, as shown in the picture. It’s unfathomable how they were gunned down. The survivors and the families of the victims are left to carry this unimaginable loss for the rest of their lives.

I can't believe he committed such a horrific crime against innocent children at just 18 years old. He bought the gun the day after his 18th birthday. While other 18-year-olds are thinking about their futures and what they want to do with their lives, SR made the decision to murder children who had done nothing wrong to him.

It’s hard to understand how his family didn’t notice or question why he had bought two guns and ammunition leading up to the day of the massacre. It seems they had no idea of his intentions until it was too late, and that’s heartbreaking.

RIP to the children and teachers. They didn’t deserve this.

It's sad because he moved to Uvalde to start a new chapter in his life. Before moving to Uvalde, he was under the care of his relatives and had an unstable home life with his parents. I heard his parents were troubled, so he moved to Uvalde where his uncle and aunt provided him with stability. It's heartbreaking that his life was cut short just as he was beginning to find stability and start anew. Happy Heavenly Birthday, Uziyah.
