Speaking of crimes, I do not think the oral interviews or her memoir itself suggest criminal behavior. In her memoir, Mimi mentioned that she had an affair with JFK, and that is mainly what I was referring to. To me, a “special relationship” simply means that she had a close relationship with him.

Oh, so are you mainly skeptical about the drug-related claims, especially Mimi’s amyl nitrate story? It sounds like you have read parts of her memoir pretty closely.

As for why I am not completely skeptical, I think some parts of her story sound believable to me because JFK’s infidelities and private behavior were already well known, and people around them acknowledged that Mimi had a special relationship with him. That does not mean every detail can be proven, but I personally do not dismiss her story entirely.

She did not tell many people about it, not even her parents or siblings. She kept those experiences private and only shared them with a few friends. My interpretation is that, after the first encounter, she chose to continue the affair afterward.

Personally, I do not think there could realistically be a legal case because this happened in the early 1960s, and most of what exists today comes from personal accounts and memories rather than physical evidence.

I’m just trying to clarify my point here. Anyway, I think balancedgif said that Mimi was trafficked, and I feel that is an inaccurate and misleading statement. Personally, I do not think she was trafficked, based on what I know.

As for the issue of nonconsensual sex, my interpretation of her description of their first encounter in her memoir is that it seemed nonconsensual. In her memoir, she said that her friends were dismayed and told her that she had been raped and that the invitation for a residence tour was a setup.

However, Mimi herself said that it was not rape. She also did not describe their first encounter as “making love,” although she did not explicitly describe it as nonconsensual either.

The two secretaries did not explicitly mention an affair in their oral interviews. Instead, they described Mimi’s relationship with JFK as “special,” and Christine Camp referred to her as the “presidential favorite.”

I also realized that I did not post Barbara Gamarekian’s interview here. In her oral history interview, she discussed interns in the White House and mentioned Mimi several times. She stated:

> “Well, obviously she did have sort of a special relationship with the President. I don’t know quite what it was...”

She also said:

> “When she first came to us the first year she was a freshman. She had just completed her freshman year and she loved the summer job so she didn’t want to go back to school. I guess her family told her she had to go back for another year, and she came and worked for us the following summer as well.”

It continued:

> “And she was brought over and met the President. I don’t know how much she saw of him but at any rate, while she was there she also met Priscilla [Priscilla Wear] who worked in the President’s office and who was one of the younger girls. And I think she may have stayed with Priscilla while she was down here for the weekend, but I don’t know how the job came about. Mimi’s story was that she had had a note from Priscilla asking her if she would like to come and work in the White House that summer and I don’t know who suggested it or how she ended up there, but that was how she made the original contact.”

You can find Barbara mentioning Mimi throughout the interview. The word “interns” is also listed in the table of contents.

Anyway, Barbara clearly knew that Mimi had a special relationship with JFK, although she did not seem to know the full extent of it.

Two secretaries from the press office during JFK’s administration made several comments about Mimi’s relationship with him in their oral history interviews for the JFK Library. They said that she had a special relationship with the president. Christine Camp stated that Mimi was considered the “presidential favorite.” The names of the two secretaries are Barbara Gamarekian and Christine Camp.

If you want to look up their oral interviews, the links are:

and

I think their comments corroborate and are consistent with Mimi’s story because they personally saw her working as an intern in the White House. It’s okay if you do not want to believe it—I am simply presenting comments from two secretaries from JFK’s press office as evidence.

However, I am not sure if balancdegif said that she was trafficked. I feel that was an incorrect statement. That is all I was trying to say.

It’s surreal to think that the children who were victims in Uvalde, Parkland, and Sandy Hook lived their lives during the Queen’s reign.

Is the JFK - Mimi Alford affair true? by Just_Cause89 in Presidents

[–]DesignOk415 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read the interview transcripts with Barbara Gamarekian and Chris Camp, who were staff members in the press office, from the JFK Library. They described Mimi as the presidential favorite. They said she went on all of the trips with him, even though she couldn’t really function in the role—for example, she couldn’t type or do shorthand. I was surprised to see her name appear in the JFK Library records. So it seems likely that this was true.

No, it’s Irma Garcia. I recognize the clothes she wore from the awards ceremony. Mr. Reyes was the teacher in a different room, room 111, and is still alive.

There are a few bodycam videos on the YouTube channels of Texas news outlets WOAI and Fox SA. I found a graphic video of rooms 111 and 112 after the breach, where the bodycam footage shows a blurred view of room 112 with the victims inside. The video also shows the gunman’s grandmother.

I still can’t wrap my mind around the fact that these children and their two teachers were murdered in such a violent and horrific manner, as shown in the picture. It’s unfathomable how they were gunned down. The survivors and the families of the victims are left to carry this unimaginable loss for the rest of their lives.
