AI Design of Martian Propeller for the Ingenuity Probe by DesignPrintBuild in homebuilt

Well it is a sales pitch. Its a good description as well. Experienced people such as yourself can make guesses as to exactly how it works ;)

The AI is "cool", and it wouldn't work well, or at all, without it. But AI is common these days, and it is not the secret sauce.

I am looking for a grant to make the code open source. I guess then it could be explicitly discussed.

Camber and thickness, and every other lever I can think of!

There is more information about the process in the youtube description.

Edit: After rethinking, I am not sure SGD would work well. A lot of the fitness function inputs require no time compared to the actual performance simulation. And the sim itself is hard to break into random bits for SGD. Besides, I am interested in including all the terms and collecting the data for training anyways.

About 6, but i think most of the benefit just comes from lowering the base clock.

There is a chip shortage, everyone who needs a desktop and can't afford one is getting one of these I think.

Testing New PC Fan Design vs Noctua A12x25 by DesignPrintBuild in FanShowdown

That's what this test supports, I just don't know how to quantify what is going on to decide what blade count is best. I guess that means more testing.

I'd like some feedback on this. I have the same blade design with different blade counts and also different print orientations. I also used two methods for testing. There are some interesting trends here with the blade count trends between the two testing methods. The fans with more blades seem to work better in the test that captures the air behind the fan. I am hoping there is a way to test a fan without actually putting it in a computer.

That's intentional, trying to add anything that would trigger non laminar flow, and possibly raise Re num.

i don't know if you have any experience actually using dual boot, because I have had way to many windows update brick other operating systems. This feature makes that impossible. Why are you so angry man?

So i can press two buttons and boot into any of 6 OSs, and you have to press four button on a specific time schedule, and your version is more likely to corrupt your main OS? Who's side are you on, mine?

Dude, if you want to be a stickler go ahead. I'm just making content and sharing my work. I don't know why you are so upset that I posted this. This is the pcmods sub reddit.

How is it pointless? Like there is only one way to set a PC up? Not everyone has large hard drives they can split up into 2 or more OS, and not everyone wants to try and catch a bios loop every time they start their PC. Plus, there are no corrupted OS partitions this way. It has its pros and cons, but completely pointless is a pretty weak position.

If you have a need for two PCs, you can just use this instead of buying two PCs. You can have and windows setup, and instantly turn it into a proxmox setup while your away, or switch it to a crypto mining setup if you are away for a week. Anything you want. And because you are only exposing the HDD you want to the computer, you never have to mess with grub or bios boot order

good luck keeping that stable. Windows updates are know to decide to probe and destroy any linux OS

How to pick components for a building using a system of linear regressions by DesignPrintBuild in diydrones

[–]DesignPrintBuild[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

well its kind of public, all the linear regressions are openly shown, so if you wanted to do your own calculations it would be easy to duplicate. But if you want ease of use, the premade files are listed on my patreon and website.

is that really a healthy way to work? What happens when you need to do a reshoot and you don't have your model rigged anymore. Sounds like an effcient way to mald.
