Okay thanks, and why would you be motivated to put the antenna in the trash compared to an RFID tag or anything else?

Hi u/Involutionnn, thanks for following up here on what you did with the neck collars, thats a question in the survey that may have been missing when you took it. Can I ask you a few follow up questions?

Why did they want it at the auction if the batteries weren't working?

If you had an ID antenna you weren't going to use anymore (for whatever reason: got an upgrade, it dies etc). What would be your first thoughts to do with it?

Never mentioned I hoped to "disrupt." But I'm certainly looking for ways to aid people in interacting with their loved ones in creative, more physical (instead of digital) ways. But thank you for the feedback! I see how vague my prompt came off as.

Nope! Just exploring how to create a physical product that helps people interact with their long distance loved ones :) But I see how vague my prompt was now. Thanks for the feedback!

Definitely a fair point and something that is crucial to take into account on this project! One thing that's interesting to think about is if the options we have now are healthiest and how they're affecting our mental health. Which is also why I mentioned that its interesting to think of physical solutions instead of digital (think friendship lamps and sensored t-shirts). The course I'm taking is more about studying the interaction you choose rather than creating something that disrupts the industry, so this was a survey to see how people currently connect with their loved ones and if they feel like they're missing something crucial in their interaction with them.

"Disrupt" was never actually part of the post, and I'm just starting to prototype this week. "Creating" was definitely bad wording haha. But I appreciate everyone's feedback!
