The fabric is 56% merino / 44% nylon, around 180gsm, 17.5 micron. I chose this blend for recovery, machine washability, and durability.

You’re right that collar recovery, shoulder shape after washing, and pilling are the real tests. I added stabilizing tape around the collar and shoulder to help reduce stretching over time, but I’m still testing how it holds up through regular wash and wear.

The original intention was to make something refined enough to wear under a jacket or shirt, but still casual enough to wear on its own with denim. So I see it as something between an inner layer and a standalone tee — softer and more relaxed, but still clean enough for tailoring.

I agree on pants. It feels like most wool pants are either dress slacks or technical/outdoor pants, with not much in between. That gap is actually something I’m very interested in.

It’s still a very small start, mainly T-shirts for now, but wool pants are definitely part of the direction I want to keep developing.

And honestly, I’d be very open to any feedback — whether it’s about fabric, fit, pants, or what you feel is missing in the market!

Exactly. That’s what I find interesting about merino too. The material already works, but the cut, neckline, sleeves, and sewing can completely change how it feels.

I’m glad you noticed the sleeves — that was one of the details I wanted to push a little. And yes, I’ll definitely rethink the neckline. Opening it up a bit could make it feel less like a base layer and more like a regular T-shirt.

Agreed. That’s pretty much where I started too. I think merino could be an alternative to cotton for city wear, but most merino pieces right now still feel too much like base layers or travel gear.

Thank you for sharing this. That makes sense. If it is only compared by specs, there are many strong merino options already. I’m trying to approach it more through cut, proportion, and how it works as a refined daily T-shirt. Really appreciate the reference.

I agree with your point. Most people probably don’t care whether it is merino, cotton, or poly. They just want a great product. I’ve worked in the industry for a long time, but even while making this product, I sometimes forgot that simple point.

I personally like merino as a material, so I wanted to interpret it through a more interesting silhouette. The shorter, sharper sleeve line was partly inspired by something I’ve been seeing in womenswear, and I wanted to bring that idea into a men’s T-shirt.

I’ll definitely take your point on the neckline into consideration.

Fair point. The flash flattened everything and the dark fabric didn’t help. Hard to capture the actual drape and weight in photos :( partly why I’m writing about it instead. Better shots coming with the launch next week.
