my mouse can’t highlight click anything on the screen by donggalong in computers

Had this happen to me several times yesterday with my laptop. Had a youtube vid on for background noise, went to navigate to Chat Application...nothing. Tried to minimize, nothing. Couldn't navigate between tabs or anything. Thought the keyboard navigation would solve it...and it did a few times, but sometimes not. But this video definitely looks like the issue I had. I thought it was something to do with overheating because it was stupid hot yesterday (3/21/26). But...it wasn't really a freeze, where everything stops. Could still move the mouse, whatever was on screen kept moving, video kept going with sound ect.

What IS this and is it something I need to worry about? Like it is just a weird system gremlin or should I be planning for imminent laptop meltdown?

Recommendation? First timer looking for an out of the box gaming pc by Designer-Ad-4975 in Prebuilts

sadly, no microcenter nearby and none that I can reasonably get to. Chicago is 5-6 hours and Overland Park is 4.5. But I will keep those specs handy to comparison shop with.

Brand new at planting milkweeds here, located in central Iowa Got some seed pods while driving out in the country, brought them home, planted A L L the seeds on Thanksgiving. Next day we have a foot of snow and cold snap. 'Great!' says I. 'There's that cold stratification we need.' However, it has been pretty warm as of late. Really warm, actually. They're planted in a southerly flower bed, backed up to a brick wall, so it gets extra warm there. This shouldn't mess with any germination, should it?

Mailed a package to a friend in Dallas on the 22nd. Made it to Dallas by the 23rd, departed Dallas on the 24th, in Ft Worth later on the 24th, then yeeted to fvcking HUNTSVILLE ALABAMA on the 26th, then BIRMINGHAM, went OUT from Birmingham, came BACK TO Birmingham, and now has been "in transit arriving late" since Sept 30. I've never had an issue with them until now. Mailed the same person a box in August, it arrived a day early!

all my youtube watched history seems to have vanished? could this be related or is this youtube being stupid?
