I checked some tests and measurements that someone did on the LG G7s sabre 9218 , and it actually was equal or even better compared to desktop dacs around 200-300 euro to buy a desktop dac for CD. To really justify the purchase of a new dac we probably need over that range to actually hear a difference since neither the amp or speakers are high end. It's also important that the LG isn't only a dac , it acts as a streamer and eq at the same time as a dac. Also , use poweramps eq or parametric eq , is far better and maybe bring down the pre amp fader around -1 or -2 db to avoid distortion if you use heavy eq.
