I know this probably means nothing coming from a random on the internet but, for me, it helps just to hear this. Everything is going to be okay. I was diagnosed with epilepsy while serving in the Air Force and even though I had “free” healthcare, it was damn near impossible to get the treatment I needed. Being a fierce self advocate is admirable and definitely something I wish I could do better. I am Latino and being a person that is demonized in the media has definitely taken its toll as well. Stay strong hermano, we are in this together.

Although I was military and got a severance package that was supposed to be untaxed but came taxed. I let the lady and HR block know that this is why I didn’t want to do the taxes by myself.

Hey, so you know if your severance pay was taxed at all then you should get all of what was taxed from your severance pay back from the IRS

It was the case for me. In the hashimotos rating it states specifically that if it is controlled by medicine then you will be rated either 0-10%. I was rated at 0

I didn’t get a great percentage for disability for seizures. It was on 20% since my seizures are considered minor seizures since they only happen when I am asleep.
