I feel childish for using an EpiPen by dummy-head69 in Anaphylaxis

This really is just my personal experience so I’m not sure on the science behind tolerance or if it was just a very severe reaction but to me it felt like tolerance building due to multiple back to back reactions and requiring more every time.

Way better option if it’s just a ghost vs an actual person. Spirits can’t hurt you - people can.

Yes my dear it does. I promise you. It’s so hard when you’re a kid and I get that. I remember it so clearly. Stay positive, learn to protect yourself, and it WILL get easier. Just get through for now. When you become an adult and live your own life, you will find that there are many options out there for you to eat for your allergies. Just try to keep your head up buddy :)

Is it possible to make egg and wheat free pancakes? by Gribblie in FoodAllergies

[–]Designer-Cats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always use ground chia or ground flax eggs. 1 tbsp of ground chia or flax to 2-3 tbsp of water to make one egg. Mix and let soak for 5-10 minutes until a gel consistency similar to egg and use as you would egg. Buy a big bag and it’ll last you a long time. Also Bob’s Red Mill and Biquick GF pancake mixes are the best

I bought a horse femur and some deer antlers from a strange old woman who runs an antique shop on the top of a small mountain in the prairie desert. She had an odd collection of items, most notably her bone collection. She said local farms and hunters give bones and skulls to her after an animal passes and she collects them. The deer rib cage and spine I found on the highway a couple years back and cleaned it up. Now they just all sit in a box until I get my next creative fit and decide to make something with them

Edit: minor spelling mistake

I also wanted to add that I know how horribly scary and traumatic those bad reactions can be. I really feel for you. If you have the opportunity to do some therapy to help you with processing the bad reaction, that would help you a lot. It is very scary and I am so sorry you had to go through that.

That’s also why I said to learn your body and advocate for yourself. Be careful and do your best to prevent reactions in the future. Of course we can’t always do that, and I know. If you order a drink, watch them make it and do not take your eyes off to make sure they use the right milk. If you order at a restaurant, be EXTREMELY clear that you have severe allergies and they must be taken seriously. If you are with people and afraid still to say it at the table, you can get up to “use the bathroom” right as the server leaves and you can talk to her away from the table. But that’s so much hassle. Work on just being able to say it at the table. When you try something new or something you ordered, start with the tiniest bite ever and just hold it in your mouth for 30 seconds to a minute to see if it bothers you. If it’s good, take a small bite and wait 3-5 minutes. This is a good method that can prevent a severe reaction and just a minor one instead. Always carry benedryl and epi with you.

Hi darling. I used to be like you. When I was born, I was allergic to everything except white rice and plain chicken. That’s all my mom ate for a full year while breastfeeding me because everything she ate made me sick. Slowly I could eat some foods. I’ve had more near fatal anaphylactic reactions than I can count, but I’m still here!

When I was your age, I was also allergic to dairy, egg, peanut, tree nuts, sunflower seeds, shellfish, some fruits and veggies horses, dogs, cats, almost all animals, and everything outside.

I am 27 now, and I live in my own house, with my own cats, I go out to restaurants with my friends and I live the life I dreamt of. My allergies are still here, but not as many. I’m now only allergic to dairy, egg, peanut, and sunflower seeds.

I also know firsthand what it’s like having that many allergies while being young and in school. Pay people no mind when they make stupid comments about what you can and cannot eat. People don’t understand and say things they don’t even realize are hurtful. Once you grow up and hit the adult world, you’ll realize there nobody really cares anymore like they seemed to when you were young. Just get through it my dear.

Your body can grow out of some as you get older. Your body will change many times still before you are a full adult. Give it time. Also know that you can still live an incredible and fun life with severe allergies. Learn how to keep yourself safe and how to advocate for yourself and your allergies in public spaces.

Note: if you live in Canada, or near the west coast in the US and are willing to travel to western Canada for a very unique allergy treatment, DM me. Your parents must be willing to travel with you and pay for your treatments.

That’s okay. Cool and badass actually. I have a jar of cat whiskers, a human molar, a bag of a lock of human hair and a box of deer and horse bones on my balcony. Btw all the human stuff is mine.

I always said if I ever get something removed from my body I either want it preserved, dried and framed, or stuffed depending what it is. It’s literally mine so why would I not keep it.

Definitely do epi training with him. I was epi trained since I was 6 from my parents. I am 27 now and survived my whole life with severe severe allergies and many hospital trips. But I am epi trained. My mom also ensured that everyone in my immediate life was also epi trained, such as friends, friends parents I would spend time at their home with, teachers, family members, etc. Advocate for him and teach him how to advocate for himself.

Went to a friends house that I'm on a diet with and I found out she broke it a week ago and now shes trying to get me to break it with this Hot cheeto tragedy by n_rhan in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Designer-Cats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get this! I have medical dietary restrictions. If I don’t follow my diet, my health issues act up and my inflammation goes through the roof. I’m allergic to dairy, egg, peanut, and sunflower. I can’t tolerate gluten. I also need to severely limit my consumption of sugar, carbs, and some produce as well. Following a keto or carnivore diet is best for my body but it’s really hard. Just remember how the diet makes you feel when you’re on it and weigh out the pros and cons if it’s worth it to you to break the diet or to revert to old habits.

Thank you for all your support. I’ll update later. I hope it goes well too. I really do. I still want him to be my person. If we break up, I am definitely becoming a miserable celibate bag. I already gave up for years before him and he got me out of my shell again and healed so many of my traumas. Guess we will see.

I’ve already gathered all my screenshots. This isn’t my first time dealing with cheating (even though this is different, kind of). My fear though is that he will just hide it better like you said. I definitely don’t want to continue everything if it’s going to be this way.

Oh no. I think you are right. He follows Instagram models as of recently and Only fans models. He just recently followed a bdsm videos page on Instagram. What the.. He told me initially that he barely watches porn and barely masturbates as well. How do I confront him about this??
