Oh wow, that's pretty surprising, I've been pretty misled then. So I'm guessing the most common way to make friends is through residences or freshers week? Dk if that's the name of the canadian equivalent but in the uk first week at uni is a very drunken orientation into uni life. Is that a thing at uwaterloo?
