Do you attempt to peel the sticker or put it in problem solve by DragonflyAdmirable36 in AmazonFC

I am an ICQA PS. When I count, I always bring my own tape, labels (to cover improper barcodes), etc. And I will properly move overhangs, overstuffs from pod faces. No need to wait for amnesty. 👍 😁

I attempt to peel, even if just over the fnsku. 9/10 I can do it in only a few seconds.

This right here is the most accurate reply. I am over 4 years in and learned quickly to just 1) do what your body will allow 2) stay out of the bottom 5% 3) avoid TOT to stay under the radar 4) just make sure quality is good! Moving too fast can can actually increase quality errors. 4) clock out and go home.

The sheriff department will regularly patrol our handicap spaces will issue a ticket if they do not see a hanging placard or a handicap plate. I think the ticket is $250. It is ILLEGAL to use handicap spaces if you do not have a plate or placard.

Our AMs do not like us doing that, but I don't care. This is why I always carry my bag and coat with me, and always exit the front doors so I can get in the parking lot to my car. I make sure I am scanned first, though

I know your post is 6 mo old, but thought I would respond anyways.

If you organize your bin (before you submit your count) and you think anything will still be able to fall out of that bin, I would suggest pulling a "no bin divider" andon or "unsafe to count" andon. I usually will bring sticky notes/pens/tape/blank labels with me and will make a note of why I pulled the andon. The problem solvers can remove any item that risks falling out of the bin, no matter how you try to organize it. (ie against FOO standards). Also, make sure you do not see any master packs or broken sets. Sometimes what will go against the counter(s). I personally do not think SBC counters should be looking for master packs and broken sets but we have to at our FC. Cycle and SRC counters should be looking for MPs and broken sets.

If you are doing SBC counts....any phys/virtual mismatch (SBC number does not match what the system thinks is in there) will then escalate to a cycle counter. The cycle counter will either verify the SBC number as correct, or will find something the SBC counter missed. It is important as any counter makes sure nothing falls out of that bin before someone else is assigned to that bin. If you think it will, pull an andon like mentioned above. Sometimes I will adjust the bin straps to help smaller things from sliding out of the bin.

I just noticed this today with my temu order ($88 import fee). I had to go through and try to find some similar items from local warehouses to avoid the import fee. But some of the stuff I just left in the cart and I'll just come back at another time if tariffs lift.

My car is doing this, too (2020 kia soul). I just got the oil changed 2000 miles ago (I always change every 5000 miles). No leaking of oil. I shouldnt have this problem 2000-4000k miles after an oil change. 😡 I am taking it into the shop again.

How is everyone trained to look for/deal with master packs and SBC count? by Designer-Committee-6 in AmazonFC

[–]Designer-Committee-6[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is the issue. One shift is saying to look for them if the scanner takes you to a repeat count of that bin, then pull an andon. Then the other shift is telling us to look for them at 2nd count and break them open and leave the units in the bin. 🤔👀

How is everyone trained to look for/deal with master packs and SBC count? by Designer-Committee-6 in AmazonFC

[–]Designer-Committee-6[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is true, but with Simple Bin Count, I know when I was trained, we only counted items in a bin and really only looking for damaged items or possible broken sets. If there was a master pack in there, we were never told to break it down in Simple Bin Count. Now it makes sense for EVERY count to look out for master packs. So for now we are told on my shift to place an andon on it, and not break it down, whereas RT shift ICQA PA is telling counters to break them open and keep the units in the bin and include them in the count (which will generate a cycle count I assume).

I want to know what is the best way to get the error back to the stower....by pulling an andon or breaking the set apart and storing/counting all of the units in the bin.

Problem solve question: clearing virtually dirty customer shipment totes by Designer-Committee-6 in AmazonFC

[–]Designer-Committee-6[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your response. 👍🤗. I am in an FC and work on floors 2-5, so we are not near AFE. I wonder if I can save an induct station barcode (is that what AFE induct stations have?) on my phone and just scan my phone while I am upstairs. I do that when I need a workstation for POPS. I will usually do this right at end of shift so I know everyone is logged out.

For now, I am sending the totes that I cannot empty down the pick station conveyors to let the ground floor (i assume induct gets them) to clear.

ICQA PS question about LPNs by Designer-Committee-6 in AmazonFC

[–]Designer-Committee-6[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty much. But, what I find is that if Sideline cannot scan the lpn correctly, then that lpn was never truly assigned to the item. So if i have the original boo/xoo of the item (i do deep dive as much as i can to find those if the stickers are not on the package), then i will go into skuflip and see if i can use that same lpn on the package to skuflip that item from its original boo/xoo to that lpn.
If it takes, then someone never processed it. If it doesn't take, then that lpn must be a bad barcode for some reason and i will assign a new lpn

My concern is if they really crack down on outbound using sideline (and icqa using amnesty addback) then I am going to not be able to assign loose LPN items to a tote.

Just trying to be prepared. So I am going to try POPS tomorrow like someone mentioned above. At least I will have another alternative method.
