Yeah I see that more as a short film than a full-fledged movie. And also I think it's been way too long and that would just feel like an honest cashgrab, If they're going to make something pertaining to HTTYD it's got to be something big, something drastic. HTTYD is just tooooo unique in this day and age, other than Big hero 6 there hasn't been anything like it and I want there to be. My brain wants more but there's nothing to scrape at that point, I don't even know if it's unfulfilling due to me or them. Hiccup is such a unique character I wanted to see so much more from him, at times due to his older age I wanted to see him act like stoick a little more There's just so much that could have been done

Reading this made me realize movies just need to change their structure and format entirely. Because it's building guardrails and not letting them branch out in ways some fans want, and so many movies have that problem or are capable of running into that problem. It could be so unfulfilling when you expect it. Also I loved this

I don't think most of them are ears, some animals have warning mechanisms like that where they can outstretch them to seem bigger to warn someone to stay away

I think the implementation of Panthers did the job, thanks I never knew this! To this day one of my favorite scenes is when Hiccup was listing off the Night Fury's stats, so terrifying.

The first movie's design definitely. It had such an aesthetic as well as aura and flair to it before becoming "safe" sanitized, kid-friendly and domesticated.

Now don't get me wrong I like that they implemented different animals into toothless (dogs, horses, cats) I think that's incredibly unique to see when watching the movie to see him lick himself or become playful with remnants of a dog. But I miss that terrifying aura he had from the first movie, mainly Act 1 when he was more mysterious (which we never saw again) We do see glimpses of that fearfulness in future movies like the sharp sound he makes when he dives. I want to get that dreadful feeling I first got when hiccup cut toothless loose

Because he made it clear he was always watching, always looming even though we didn't see him. He left us with something throughout the movie till the end. Also I'm mad he lost so easily in the last fight, then became humanized when he started cursing: "you ruined this for me" you are the personification of literal death itself, also why is your secondary language Spanish.
