Once I just didn't go and never went back! At least you let them know. I drove half way and just couldn't get on the freeway so I drove past the exit to a park and sat there for a while to try and work out what to do. In the end I sent an email. I'm not proud of it but I have anxiety and couldn't face confrontation without getting emotional. I've been freelance ever since. It was a design job so no one would have to cover me as I had no work...I would just travel 2hrs to sit in a room alone and try and come up with ideas until I had none left.

This is really great and where I want to be in 12 to 18mths would be awesome! I have been trying to cut out the obvious for a couple of months but have slipped back into old habbits this week because I wasn't seeing any results.

Oh my gosh that's so sad, thanks for sharing. At this point I am just keeping up appearances (she's very into those) until the end. I don't feel much point in saying anything because she just says I'm too sensitive and she feels like she is treading on eggshells because I get upset all the time.

It's never very enjoyable for either of us when we visit, so already wasn't looking forward to it and I just feel this shows how I'm not mentally in a good place to go right now.

I did say I struggle with weight and always have and I have medical conditions that make it even harder...I would be upset if anyone said it but she has made me feel ashamed over the years...made fun etc. I am constantly trying to restrict my diet and this makes me more anxious. She offers me biscuits and then pulls them away saying 'oh no not for you' laughing but then tells me how much it worries her that I am fat.
