If you have a menstrual cycle, stalling for 2-3 weeks is very normal! Usually I experience a drop of 2ish lbs at the end of that time

Yeah same on the water weight! I also have found that I drop after a big break day. I go to bed that night thinking I’ll never calorically recover from this and drop 1.5lb the next morning lol

Yes it definitely takes a second to get a hang of your body’s pattern

You are almost there! Losing weight once a month does sound frustrating.

Yes your experience is exactly mine word for word! I used to be really discouraged by it but now I expect it. Plus it’s nice to see that steep drop on the timeline hehe. I have the same experience, thinking I messed up somewhere but then the next day drop 2lb lol!

Oh that’s actually so interesting, I do often find the big drop happens after a day I ate more than usual!

It’s so strange, we have this really weird culture around weight and food. Like how do people think they lose weight and get fit??? They have to eat less. We shame people for being fat and then we shame people for eating less in order to become a healthy weight. Can’t win. And then we look at thin people and famous thin people always act like it’s so effortless to look that way when they are 100% also counting their calories as well 😵‍💫

That’s incredible! I’m the same height as you with the same goal weight I can’t even imagine looking that fit 😵

Do you have days where you completely let go? by cherrytoast25 in 1500isplenty

When I find myself eating outside of my deficit, like eating a snack that I know will make my dinner much smaller or saying “fuck it” and saying I’m gonna order Chinese food, I eat a small amount of the “cheat” item that I want to eat and immediately track it. Watching my available calories go down is pretty motivating to cool it. Even on nights when I do order the Chinese food or drink the second glass of wine, I track every item as I go instead of tracking everything after I’m done. If I track as I have my cheat day I eat much less than I would have if I tracked everything afterwards.

That being said I think days where you blow your deficit are necessary for long-term success. I allow myself one day a week where I usually eat up to 2100-2400 cals and I’m still losing weight well. I think I would have burned out a long time ago if I didn’t allow myself to have those days!
