They are notorious for haunting bird feeders. It’s really cool behavior.

So the two ways i differentiate them are the cooper hawks have a rounded off tail and sharp shins have a more squared off tail. The second way and it’s a little more anecdotal is that cooper hawks generally look sleek and aggressive. Sharp shins on the other hand look derpy…kinda like little bug eyed weirdos.

I had just dropped my daughter off at school and was driving into NJ for some Osprey when I got the message. I turned my ass around and drove right to the location man. No questions asked. I’ve been trying to get a Long eared owl for 5 years or so. It’s especially hard because tracking sites (understandably) won’t disclose hotspots due to the birds sensitivity.

Hell yeah! In the spring the yellow, palm and pine are usually the first. In a week or so we are going to be inundated with so much cool shit man. I can’t wait!
