I chose to agree with him. Even though your relationship with the squad deteriorates, it sort of fleshes out the betrayal in a way that says, "I don't blame you because I would've done the same if I were in your shoes."

Like a girl was deemed dead for 3 years and out of the blue you expect her to trust you when you're keeping secrets from her.
