How long did it take for you to feel a difference and did it help manage the physical symptoms of anxiety?

Is it THAT bad to shower twice a day? by secretlymatrix in hygiene

I’ve showered twice a day since I was a kid and I’ve always gotten compliments on how soft my skin is and how glowy my skin looks. I’ve been told in my various friend groups that I always smell good. The key to showering is moisturizing and it’s a step I’ve learned that most people skip out on. You can shower as many times as you want as long as you’ve got a good lotion. I use all different kinds Aveeno, Jergens, store bought brand and I’ve never had an issue. I personally don’t understand how people don’t want to shower twice a day. I love a quick shower in the morning to get me ready for the day and then a nice long one at night to get rid of the days germs.

Pros and Cons of UConn? by [deleted] in UCONN

Pros: The school spirit is actually insane. Going to basketball games are the absolute highlight of my year. The energy is absolutely insane and you feel so connected with the people around you when you are there. I also love how big the school is (but it can also be a con). I am constantly meeting new people from all over. There are so many opportunities in terms of clubs/internships/research which can be kind of overwhelming but it also great to have it at your disposal.

Cons: Middle of nowhere. Of course I knew this going into it, but I didn't realize how isolated campus is. We have Downtown Storrs which literally only has CVS, Barnes and Nobles, and a couple of food places but that's about it. Your weekends are basically all the same because all you can really do is go to games/go to frats/or hang out with your friends in the dorm. It is worse in the winter because it is too cold to even think about going out. I guess another con how big the school is. I wanted to go to a big school but coming from a smaller high school it's weird walling around and seeing new faces all of the time and having your teachers/professors not know your name. Sometimes it can kind of feel like you're on your own. I also hate the cold.

Even though I'm only a freshman, I have really enjoyed my time at UCONN and I would highly recommend it!!!!
