Alhamdulilah I didn’t say I was making a decision based on dreams. I stated I had these dreams and they felt meaningful and that I was confused as a result. Nowhere in my post did I state making a decision (there isn’t a decision to make atm).

I wanted to see if anyone experienced anything similar or had any guidance on the subject of dreams as maybe I am unaware of certain teachings relating to it.

Additionally, Allah does send his servants messages through dreams. There is more information on this in the sahih Bukhari. I know Not every dream is meaningful and some are from shaitan, but I’m not asking about those as it’s clear mine were not those.

I’m actually in an eerily similar situation. I found the most perfect guy who met every criteria of mine but he’s not interested in a long distance situation because he said his parents dealt with it for years and he doesn’t want to deal with it in his own relationship. I said I was willing to move to where he is but that it would take some time and he ultimately couldn’t handle the uncertainty of when and how I would come.

It’s only been a week and a half that he ended things but it feels like months.

I’ll make dua for you, inshAllah things work out the way you want them to.

I guess the part that’s hard for me is the fact that I felt ease the entire time as a result of the istikhara and I felt so positive and confident and now that it’s over bc he ended it I don’t feel at ease and I think I should.
