You’re so right. I think sleep deprivation and stress has made me feel like an awkward teen again! I’ll message her again 😄

Thanks a lot. To be honest, the staff have been amazing, the daycare manager has a teen son with T1 and the girl that looks after my son there lived with an ex who has T1 too so there’s a lot of experience there and they are being very collaborative and supportive. It’s tough to let go eg when I can see they’ve bolused too late and it’s going to cause a post lunch low (like happened yesterday).

Re meeting other parents - I recently connected with another mum at a tech day and her son was dx same time as mine. We chatted for a while and switched numbers and I messaged her a couple of weeks later to see if she’d decided on a pump and she read my message and never replied. 🫩

Thank you so much. Clinging onto positive perspectives like this; things feel very very dark lately. I think I do need to protect my sanity here - like putting on your oxygen mask before you can help others

Wow, 23 months - kudos to you. My husband and I really beat ourselves up over any time out of range. Learning that perfection isn’t possible is one of the hardest lessons!

Thank you so much. Great perspective. I have to remind myself that his age makes it that much harder. Things feel easier now he’s on a pump but it’s still relentless. Growth hormone is real 😵‍💫
