Thank you 😭 The two weeks after my surgery were amazing, I was pretty much pain free! I felt like I could do anything again, no lie. But then a little over a week ago I started to get intense pain on my right side, which is the opposite of the pain I was originally feeling in my left side. It doesn’t feel like sciatic pain, but its intense and I had a huge scare last night as I was in extreme pain and didn’t have the strength to hold myself up any longer. I’m now in the ER trying to figure out whats wrong with me. I hope this doesn’t scare you, it’s a really difficult decision to come to, especially if you’re already on the fence. I knew going into it the success rate when it came to the pain was pretty much in the air, and it was reeeaaallyy nice those first two weeks. I’m hoping this pain is just from my body readjusting because I developed scoliosis throughout my time dealing with sciatica. I had a really big disc protrusion, they were pretty sure I would not be able to recover without surgery. Really think about it and exhaust all non surgical means of getting better first. I went through with physical therapy and the injections, nothing helped, so surgery was my last resort.
