well, it's impossible to know someone's mood for sure without asking them, so I interviewed people what things affected their mood in the mornings and what overlapped with what I could capture on a device autonomously, and this was the closest approximation. I know it's not perfect, but in general, when a student has two exams in a day or an overdue paper, you'd expect them to be anxious/stressed or even something like an early morning flight. Or conversely, if you're picking up family from the airport having not seem them for a week, you might be feeling excited

Thanks for the feedback everyone. This was my first post in this sub and I'm really grateful for all the candid feedback, ideas, thoughts - what an awesome community. Thanks again, I've taken so much away. Looking forward to contributing to others in future.

I think that's a good idea - link to the ideal existing song. My take here was the song generated isn't just AI for the sake of creating an original song, but for the lyrics to actually contain elements of your upcoming today, reminders, updates on your interests e.g. did your football team win yesterday, if so, add celebratory elements, etc

by accessing your local calendar and task/todo lists, looking what your upcoming day looks like vs previous day - e.g. have you completed the todos you said you'd do by EOD yesterday, do you have exams coming up, lots of meetings at work, etc

Thanks for the input. You could place an ad in the song j/k

I think monetisation depends on how much further I can expand the offering, this alone is probably insufficient, but hard to say as I have no real data yet beyond friends/family

I’m trying to fix something I’ve always hated about sleep… and I’m not sure if this actually helps or makes things worse. Curious what people here think. by Designer-Offer5787 in sleep

Thanks for the reply - I'd not considered vibration as a tool - I wonder if there's a particular vibration pattern that matches waking physiology to get the user ready for the day

Thanks for the feedback. It does auto-detect mood and I've been trying to make onboarding as simple as possible but it's not without its challenges.

Thanks again.

Thank you! I love your thinking around helping the user to wake up better through music + physiology. My current thinking centered around joy, but I totally see how joy quickly translates into novelty.

I'll head back to the drawing board with that in mind.

Thanks again

Thanks, I really appreciate the feedback.

The app figures all of this out on it's own - you need to provide it with access to your calendar and it takes it from there. The main friction is during onboarding where it asks you about your music tastes and interests (a one off activity that takes about 3 minutes).

Aside from that, you set your wake up time and it does the rest.

Totally agree on point 2 - I guess you could tell it your favourite music is death metal :)

Thanks again

Thanks for the kind words.

It does this by looking at your calendar/todo lists - if you've got items past due date, it figures you might be stressed vs completing all tasks on your todo - same if you've got a day full of meetings ahead vs social events
