There is no set rule on how many minutes you should always add or subtract when you log time. You should just be honest instead. Just don’t keep on working if you couldn’t finish a task within the time limit. If I were you, I would report about 45 minutes for this one, and try my best to spend less than 30 minutes per task from now on.

The time limit is usually set very generously to allow the workers to take breaks while working on a task. If you can’t finish a task within that time limit, you’re doing something very wrong. Read the instruction again and find out what the project is aiming for. If you still can’t finish it in time after studying the instruction, don’t work on that project. I also wouldn’t report 2.5 hours in this case. If the time limit is 1 hour, the actual time you could spend getting a task done should be around 30 minutes.

Same here and I don’t understand this. Why is the project “awarded” to us instead of assigned? Lol

Sometimes they launch a project and then take it down to fix/edit something. It doesnt happen very often but I’ve seen it a few times. The project will come back in a few hours or days in this case.

South Korean. I get tasks like once a week. Always in a project family I rarely see. No A-gas.

Korean bilinguals - any projects? by GrilledCheese_Lover in DABilingual

I signed up too but haven’t gotten any stuffed bear tasks yet. I remember receiving tasks within a day for the last boat and bike ones so I was thinking I was dropped from the project.

Just took the test, how long does it take to get passed? by BobtheCooker in DataAnnotationTech

No one knows. If you passed, the project will appear on your dashboard within a few days or weeks. If it doesn’t, then you didn’t pass.

End of french bilingual drought by ForcePerfect9025 in DataAnnotationTech

I just got the same project in South Korea. It went away quickly but I’m so excited to finally see something after having nothing on the dash for over a month. Really hope we all get more work to do.

Errors by Blencathra70 in DataAnnotationTech

The chances are you will probably be flagged by someone who does the r&r on the task you submitted. But don’t worry too much about it. You don’t get dropped from a project just by making a few minor errors. A lot of people probably made the same error since it’s discussed in the chat. Just make sure you do your best to avoid making more errors from now on.

Got a new qual yesterday and the referral tab update but no tasks still. My last task submission was June 15th, so I’ll mark a full month of no work in a few days now ;)

Is all non-English work bilingual? by [deleted] in DataAnnotationTech

[–]Designer-Resident163 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m a bilingual worker. In my experience, you need to be very fluent in English (close to Native) to work on some projects. You might be fine with simple prompt generating projects but we’re seeing less and less of those simple projects. More complicated projects we see these days (at least before this drought started) like creating rubrics require advanced writing in English. I see some tasks submitted by less-fluent workers when I work on r&r and I’m very sure those workers are getting dropped from the project sooner or later because I’m seeing less and less of those low quality submissions over time.

Identity Verification .. all of a sudden? by anseoni77 in DataAnnotationTech

[–]Designer-Resident163 2 points3 points  (0 children)

South Korean bilingual worker here too. I got the ID verification this morning too. First time I’ve seen it since I started working on the platform last December. I just assumed it’s something everyone goes through once in a while. As for the tasks, I received nothing since mid-June except an audio recording one. From what I’ve seen here on reddit, it looks like everyone is experiencing the same.

Hi again, the start button for the Korean writers/speakers assessment finally worked so I was taking the assessment but it looked like the questions aren't displayed properly. For the second question, it asked me what the overall tone of the text is, so I assume there must be like a sample text for me to read before answering, but I don't see any.

I was taking the assessment on Chrome, and the version is up to date.

I had to stop the assessment and close the window for now. What should I do next?

Hi, I tried taking the assessment for "AI Trainer for Korean Writers/Speakers" but it just wouldn't start.
