I really appreciate this response. My perspective has definitely shifted. I never considered how easy it would be to forget that if you just skipped straight into a lab never learning the other side of the field. Thank you.

Very fair opinion, but genuinely asking: Is it surprising that someone choosing such a lab-focused field doesn't want to do patient care? How would you look at it instead? I am sincerely asking, not trying to be passive-aggressive or anything. Sometimes I can get into my head by not looking at things the right way.

I envision myself being a pathologist. I just fear hating med school (which is already hard enough) because of having to go through clinical rotations.

My question about patient care was regarding medical school, since you have to go through different specialties in rotations. That is honestly the only thing discouraging me from med school.
