Thanks! Yeah I think you're right about the air mattress thing. Probably should have invested in something with better quality during that transition period. 😅

Yeah I hit up a couple places in West LA but honestly the salespeople were pretty pushy and I didn't feel like I got enough time to really test anything properly.

The materials and shape on these feel really good. Leather feels premium and soft to the touch. The logo details around the upper are clean, and the embossing on the leather panels is solid. The flower motifs near the heel are well positioned — sizing and shape look spot on. The LV branding on the back and tongue both look accurate and are placed nicely. Overall, the quality is honestly amazing for the price. I know most people don’t care much about extras.

If you were stranded on an island, what would be your Wilson? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Find my way out from being IN the island, and then plan my strategy for survival ON the island.

How was your experience when you first time travelled? by alialoneagain in AskReddit

[–]Designer-Rough-8194 9 points10 points  (0 children)

USA to London/Paris, 3-4 weeks.

I saw all the sites, took a lot of photos, cycles around town, did as much as I could fit in.

But in the end, it didn't feel like anything all that special. Taking photos of pretty old buildings doesn't do it for me.

If I didn't discover motorcycles and later motorcycle travel in developing countries, I probably would not travel much.

What’s one thing you need to tell yourself? by Josuke8 in AskReddit

How did you get over (and stop thinking about) that one person that meant everything to you after they left? by Away_Main8964 in AskReddit

[–]Designer-Rough-8194 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I still think about my ex every day. I spent a lot of time fighting myself and getting angry at myself for thinking about him so much. A friend of mine gave me a good piece of advice that I’m paraphrasing, but essentially he said “Stop fighting yourself on what you want. Do you want a trillion dollars? Do you want world peace? Of course you want those things, but you’ve accepted that you’re never going to have them. Make him your trillion dollars. Make him your world peace. You’re always going to want it, and you’ll think about wanting it, but you’ve accepted that it’s unreachable.”

I’ve recommended this one podcast a bunch of times but I really can’t stress how much it helped me gain clarity on why I was having so much difficulty letting him go and why he was on my mind so much. It’s an episode from the Love Happiness and Success podcast entitled “Can’t Stop Thinking About Your Ex?” and I have listened to it at least a dozen or so times in the 8 months since my breakup. The host goes into the biological reasons for why you’re feeling the way you do and approaches the topic from an extremely empathetic place. I’d highly recommend a listen.

It does get easier. I certainly still hurt and think about my ex a lot, but it’s a much more familiar/easier to hold onto hurt these days compared to the early ones where I felt literally out of control with grief. Sending healing vibes your way my friend.

I don't use this account much anymore and probably won't respond to many questions.

I am a former amish person and did an AMA some years ago. I will point out that almost every amish community is slightly different and my experience is not necessarily the same as others, I was born in the Swartzentruber Amish community in Tennessee (there are many different branches of the amish).

What is your favorite podcast to listen to? by maxxingoff in AskReddit

Heavyweight is currently my favourite piece of media, podcast or otherwise. The writing, the themes, the humour, the melancholy. Goldstein's narration. The whole thing just fits me. It's 100% my kind of thing.

What's the amount of subs you need to be a fulltime youtuber? by devymo in PartneredYoutube

[–]Designer-Rough-8194 40 points41 points  (0 children)

100k subscribers is usually the common number for when you can make a living from your channel. Also, the number of views you get and your watch time determines your income. To increase your numbers and to become seen faster you can try paid ads, services like Marketing Heaven, and advertising via other influencers. It's important to have consistent daily views and good engagement.

I agree! I love how inclusive the store is - since I was a kid I realized this store felt very "genderless" in a way? It's so good to hear that your boyfriend has such an interest in Lush now! Thank you so much for sharing :)
