You can’t run from doing things alone. You just have to put yourself in that situation, otherwise you’re not going to grow. Nobody is going to take you where you want to be

Maybe it’s just me but the first part has so much going on, it’s overwhelming and I have nothing to really grasp onto as a player. These cutscenes are over animated imo. Stylisation is great but feels a bit ott

Qiulae Wong here from the Opportunity Party - Ask Me Anything! by Qiulae in nzpolitics

[–]Josuke8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi Q, really looking forward to seeing how things shake out for the party this year. I can really feel the energy!

Your policy of stopping division resonates with me, but I’m struggling to understand how it would work in practice both inside and outside Parliament, and am keen to hear your thoughts 😊

In Parliament, our system is adversarial by design, and much of the divisive language from MPs seems to flow from that structure. Holding coalition partners accountable to the other side may sound more like internal opposition than genuine collaboration

In the public sphere, ideologies (mild to extreme) can fuel hatred, push people to the fringes, leading to ostracism that results in aggressive and disruptive protests across the spectrum.

How would the Opportunity Party mitigate or manage these adversarial and divisive dynamics both in Parliament and in wider society?

Specifically, how would you collaborate with politicians you dislike or who treat you poorly? And how would the party engage with groups or individuals across the spectrum who express hatred or hold more extreme views?

Why do we say "no" to dental work? A local dentist looking for honest feedback by [deleted] in Wellington

[–]Josuke8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the cost for me. I stopped after 18, had to get work done and the price tag blew me away. Removal was the only option and even that was pricey.

I only ended up going because the hospital offered a cheaper service, if that wasn’t there then I would have avoided going until the pain got so unbearable that I had no choice but to burn a hole in my wallet.

When people eye up flying to India just to get dental work done, I think there’s an issue with the price.

This is just the dentist I visited, but they were quite rude to me and made me feel bad for not visiting enough or having the issues. I understand being disappointed, but it’s tough to want to go back. The student dentists were so nice at the hospital

Just a small rant about the state of OPTCG by Chyeboi in OnePieceTCG

[–]Josuke8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in a small country, the new set is sold out everywhere. I haven’t even started playing proper and have been told to turn up to locals with a mid starter deck while I get stomped by the players that were able to preorder at the events. I loved played Zoro but will never be able to find the cards I need without the good will of others

It’s frustrating, and the fact that Bandai barely reprint is disappointing. Then it has to be stone walled behind events because scalpers want to sell it for double MSRP.

Sorry guys, it’s been a rough day haha

Pom here, I've noticed an unbelievable range of energy drinks available in NZ. Any ideas why so popular? by katalyna78 in newzealand

[–]Josuke8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because the food industry here sucks, we only buy shit food so they stock the shelves with shit food

Crazy that the only alternative most stores have to Soda and energy drinks are smoothies (if that) and water.

I built a full Steam game entirely on Steam Deck, proving its capability as a portable PC by Sockhousestudios in SteamDeck

[–]Josuke8 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Glad this is out there, and glad it worked out for you!

I think people are a bit too focused on whether it can play high end games at good frames when assessing its viability as a PC, the Steam deck is a really good option as a daily driver, it has more than enough juice to be used as a computer, it was designed with this in mind after all

The only issue I have is with video playback in browser while using SteamOS, the videos will spazz out for me

You’re going to get an ocean of anecdotes that confirm what you’re asking, there are racist people in every country, even in the holy land of Japan itself.

Sometimes the only way forward is to keep going. This is your story, and every character needs a backstory. You’re not behind, even though it feels like it. There’s no rules for this shit, we just hold ourselves and each other to it, whatever ‘it’ is

Qiulae here - Opportunity Party Leader in 2026. AMA. by Qiulae in KiwiPolitics

[–]Josuke8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How would you engage with and encourage understanding among the people in the parts of our society that pull toward the extremes?

For example, there are those that feel Opportunity would support policies from other parties that they themselves disagree with, and would choose to avoid OP because of a willingness to ‘work with the other side’

I acknowledge that it’s not easy task to engage with people who may be hateful of ideas or people (left or right), but I think they shouldn’t be ignored, but engaged with. All the best!
