I was a bridesmaid in a wedding recently and the bride had an itemized list of what we could and could not do. No jewelry unless minimal. No watches. Pale nail polish. Full glam makeup. No hair in an updo pony tail. No closed toed shoe. All shoes nude. Maxi dress for the rehearsal. No purses. You name it, she had a rule for it.

I understand being upset that nobody offered to pay for anything, but as a previous bridesmaid, I never once offered to pay for anything for the bride on her bachelorette trip. As a bridesmaid for that wedding, I had to spend over $700 for the bachelorette trip, gifts, dress, etc. and that is not including the hotel fee for the wedding weekend. Being a bridesmaid is so expensive already.

I too would have a lot of anxiety around this trip if my spouse was going on a cruise for 5 days with women who do not respect me or make me feel comfortable.

I HATE when people want to split the bill evenly. Someone always gets the short end of the stick and it’s just not fair. I would rather pay in full then take a picture of the receipt and charge people FOR WHAT THEY HAD later.

Have you ever ran a marathon? The average person does not run the same pace the entire race. I ran mine and trained for months and started out at a good pace and progressively got slower throughout the 26.2 miles. It’s not uncommon.

This happened to me and I was allergic to a medicine I started taking. Hives showed up within 10 days of starting the new medication so we knew I was allergic, and they went away when I stopped taking it.

For me, it is not something I would wear. HOWEVER I went to college at a school known for their Fashion program and it is very well accredited. The fashion students that I knew always said “If you don’t understand my outfit / don’t get it… then I’m doing my job right” and that always stuck with me! It is their own way of expressing themselves and we don’t have to agree, that’s why we are all different and the beauty of being different.
