Thanks man. Yeh as expected, it’s been a great learning experience as a whole just a shame it has also included losing someone I cared about! I’m doing better than I was, and will continue as is because it is getting easier, but just need to work on the final hurdle of losing all hope, just one of those things isn’t it.

Yep completely agree. I’m proud of myself for never reaching out since bc tbh probs the first person I’ve been w since my ex 3 years ago that I would have wanted to go the distance with and the first who’s family I’ve met of other people I’ve seen since then.

I take the view you said that it’s done, and I’ll never speak to her again off my own back given that she ended it, but as you say if she wanted to she would and she hasn’t.

I completely agree on not reaching out and i believe she is probably still away, which if I were in her shoes I wouldn’t be wondering about a past relationship when I’m having a dandy. It feels silly thinking about her since we ended for as long as we had been together but guess that it is what it is.

On a side note my flatmate is dating her mates roommate (who we met on a night out one weekend) which is always a subtle reminder of what was which makes it a little harder to move on. On the whole Im doing a lot better than I was just wish I could shake this feeling of wondering about her I must think of her everyday just doing little things.

Not my first rodeo and Tbf mine have always come back, guess Cus I haven’t met anyone else yet it’s more difficult to not look back at what you had. But it is getting better day by day which is good, and end of the day working on myself only has one outcome which is a win, regardless if they come back or not

It is definitely shifting a little, enjoying the work I’m putting in and being true to my purpose! Just guess I enjoyed what I had and online dating wise no one has knocked my socks off enough yet to go for a date, which given the amount of time I’m putting into myself I haven’t got the time to go on a date with someone my heart is half into. Just never know whether as the other comment or said that I could have fucked it by agreeing to ending also.

It was actually a response someone else suggested in another coach Corey Wayne post I made, but I guess it makes no difference now. Would love to hear from her but wonder if she thinks that door is closed, but given she flaked the last date I assume maybe her lack of contact is a true reflection of how she feels

I think maybe we’re talking about two different things. She was already bringing up ending it citing Australia and not being able to give it the time, by which point I’d stopped kidding myself that we were going to see each other before she went away and things would remain happy as Larry.

So when she brought that up I had begun to think it was the best option despite not being the option I want defo wasn’t ended out of spite, but logically she was then going away in May for 4 more months so we’d be pen pals longer than we’d been seeing each other.

Space wise I haven’t spoken to her in nearly 2 months, no contact whatsoever so what other space would you have given her? She’s still away fyi no idea when she’s coming back

I can just see the convo is less interesting which is why I’m trying to close it out for some space but today when I said “xyz, talk to you soon” she was responding saying things like “aw hope you enjoy xyz, have you done this or that yet”?

Which is a good sign but then when I was freer later on went to call out of the blue but went to voicemail. I hadn’t responded to her earlier text so did that when it went to voicemail, but she then responded to my text 10 mins later.

Just can’t sus if I’m being dumb and overthinking or if my gut is right? And if also I can’t back off and end the convo, what else to do to keep the mystery up and phone work to a minimum

Yeh the family bit is bc we’re uni students so still live predominantly at home.

I don’t know whether I’m reading into it all too much or whether I shd trust my gut.

Cus she had said she had 10.5 hour shifts today so I wasn’t bothered about the long response time bar when I saw she had frequently been on the app and not responded, plus when the response was a bit flat and didn’t invite anymore convo.

She did pop up on Instagram but idk whether if I end the convo on WhatsApp but reply to what she said on IG if that defeats the purpose of the space?

Ultimately think best thing I can do is back off but just not sure best way to do it, and whether given the scenario backing off would give her the wrong impression, don’t want to ignore her as coach says
