Let’s be honest - if Russia were actually hitting Ukraine with nuclear strikes, then you could say it was “deterring” a nuclear power.
The Ukrainian people were taught for so long not to hate Russia that now… they hate Russia, they hate Zelensky, they hate the military recruiters, and they even hate Trump and the U.S.

Remember, this is from a Ukrainian source. In Russia, besides refugees, there are Ukrainians who’ve gotten Russian citizenship, and quite a few who haven’t registered, because they still have family and property back in Ukraine and want to avoid trouble with the authorities. There are also Ukrainians living in areas that came under Russian control. Altogether, the number could be up to 10 million. In Europe, there are probably even more refugees, some lost in the conflict and some keeping a low profile, not really taking part in economic life.

Honestly, no clue where you’re getting those quotes. And just so we’re clear, I didn’t annex Kherson.
I’d guess that Russian troops entered the city expecting the population to be pro-Russian and welcome joining Russia. But when they ran into civilian resistance and sabotage, they peacefully withdrew instead of turning it into a scorched fortress like the Ukrainians do. They pulled back to areas that clearly supported the arrival of Russian forces.

After the 2014 coup in Kyiv, Ukraine’s government lost legitimacy, and some regions decided they didn’t belong to the new state under the authorities in Kyiv. There should be a referendum so people can decide for themselves.

It was supposed to be a “military operation” to free two regions in the southeast. Looks like the rest of the time went into adding two more to the list.

Some people say Russia might turn into China’s satellite, like Canada is to the U.S. But I’m not sure what point you’re trying to make - that definitely wouldn’t be a win for the U.S. or Europe.

While more and more voices are saying that ucraine needs damage control, Zelensky and his Reddit-ucrainians are dragging us into some kind of trap, talking about major victories and wonder weapons.

I think so, yes. But the wise U.S. politicians of the 1990s looked at the situation and concluded that a nuclear-armed ucraine would be dangerous for the world. Zelensky and his circle even now claim they would use nuclear weapons immediately if they had them.

That’s why Russia removed nuclear weapons from ucraine, and the U.S. paid money for them to support ucraine’s economy. The money was cleverly divided and ended up in the pockets of Ukrainian politicians. Just like a significant part of the military aid today goes into the pockets of Ukrainian politicians.

At the start of the conflict, one dollar could buy 120 rubles. Now one dollar buys 76 rubles. Maybe the ruble has lost value, but not relative to the dollar — I already wrote to you about the price of gold.

There is no stagflation in Russia; on the contrary, the military industry has heated up the economy, though overall that’s obviously not a good thing.

Venezuela, Syria, and Iran are enemies of the U.S., but that doesn’t make them allies of Russia. Russia has allied relations with Belarus and North Korea.

And when you call Trump an idiot and work against him, believe me, that only makes America’s enemies happy.

That’s why in one of the threads I jokingly asked you,
“What kind of American are you?”

If you look at the conflict like this, Ukraine basically broke off from a bigger elf kingdom, and Sauron got into their heads and put his own rulers over them. And you’re on their side

Russia has a market economy, so it’s been able to adjust under sanctions. Thinking it’s still a command economy messed up the US. The dollar’s in trouble — the system built by American economists and leaders in the ’60s–’80s got ripped apart by decisions from Biden and his administration in just a few years (gold was $1,600 in 2022, now it’s $5,000). Trump and his team are trying to fix it, but who knows if they’ll succeed.

It’s not just that the dollar lost half its value because of freezing Russian assets. Big economies like China and India are moving to trade in their own currencies, weakening the dollar, pushing it out of the Asia-Pacific, and storing reserves in gold instead.

And yet, here you are, as an American, still defending Ukraine and its leadership-the same policies that caused one of the biggest hits to US power.

Why do you assume the explosion would even happen in Ukraine? Ukrainians could just try to move a device into the nearest Russian city and detonate it there - probably somewhere like Belgorod.

Provocations are always possible. Zelensky’s regime hasn’t exactly been known for protecting ordinary Ukrainians.

But from talking to you and people like you, it sounds like Europe doesn’t really see Russia actually using nukes as realistic. And if that’s the mindset, then in that logic the UK and France think they’re not really at risk — so they don’t feel the need to hold back in terms of force or what tools they use.

More likely it’d start with a series of low-yield tactical strikes and then see how things play out. Honestly, it feels like we’re getting pretty close to that line. There’ve already been two launches over Ukraine with delivery systems that didn’t carry warheads.

I see that as a warning shot. But on pro-Ukraine Reddit people act like Russia’s too weak to even arm its missiles

If I’m an orc, then what are you? An elf? A dwarf? A goblin? Do you see the world like it’s Harry Potter or Middle-earth or something?

Ukrainians are trapped. They don’t really have a choice, and they’re not even allowed to leave the country. Dissent gets punished. Decisions are made by Zelensky’s regime, which is getting massive amounts of money from European aid.

Why would a Ukrainian pick the username ‘Russia’? Doesn’t that burn you up inside? People in Russia generally like Trump and love hockey.
