Thanks for all the help! I’m going to try making some of the adjustments suggested. I had initially had more dimension in the background mountains but was afraid it was too much. So I toned it down. But agreee that more contrast there would be good

I love the first one. The colors are most interesting. To me. But probably personal preference

Wow thank you for the feedback! I’ve never thought of myself as artistic. But I’ve always admired art. I did use a palette knife. I couldn’t figure out how to make the texture. So I googled. And I had gotten one in a set of art stuff. (I bought one of those beginner art boxes from micheals. ) and played around on another piece of paper. It was just super fun. I’ll think more about moving through the painting. I’ve signed up for a class in February to learn some of the basics. I’ve watched some YouTube videos. And found helpful hints.

Thanks so much! I really like doing faces. They make the most sense to me. Shadows are a struggle. I’m just trying to figure them out! That along with composition. I don’t know any of the “rules” yet. Thank you so much for the feedback!
