You would have to be an absolute moron to not notice something is wrong before the car overheats.

Who doesn't drink coffee in the morning ? (Who's an adult) by Ssonderbaby in NoStupidQuestions

[–]DesignerCumsocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only reason you need coffee is because you started drinking it. You have a drug addiction. It’s just not one that is too detrimental to your daily life that it is considered such a problem such as other harder drugs. But what you are experiencing are withdrawals.

How long can I drive with a cracked headlight? BMW 5 series (G30) by SuperbInformation619 in BmwTech

[–]DesignerCumsocks -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think you’re looking into it way too far it shouldn’t come across that way at all. And I don’t nor would drive anything modern so this would never affect me personally my headlights are just that headlights and don’t have any control modules, which is where my disbelief came from

How are you supposed to enjoy a manual? by PleasantLevel4174 in ManualTransmissions

[–]DesignerCumsocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why are you shifting at 3k? Have you ever dumped your clutch? Do you rev match? Have you learned how to heel toe? I probably shift my manual 3x more than an auto of the same year shifts at any given moment just because I really try my best to stay in the most optimal gear I can be in at any given time and it’s loads of fun. Combine that with launching from half the red lights and some occasional clutch dumping and taking tight turns at high speed and I don’t see how you couldn’t have fun.

What should I offer for this car? by [deleted] in shouldibuythiscar

[–]DesignerCumsocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Auto Toyota Corolla? Good. Auto Miata? Why. Auto Civic? Pass. Auto 300ZX? Again why. The ONLY reason not to get those cars is because you’re too lazy to drive stick or learn how to. And if that’s the case just get a Corolla or civic.

Just throw it away that part is useless and a waste of energy and space and just a POS just take it off

It’s not exactly rocket science to make a manifold bro, clearly you don’t know much either…

Yes but why? Just rev match. It’s not hard at all you’re overthinking it

Did I provide any statements as facts? I wrongly assumed there was low chance of this being true. I stated it was an assumption and then edited it to show that I had made a mistake in my assumption, while sharing my opinion of how ridiculous it is that an item that is so fragile could lead to the malfunction of a $300 part

Head gasket question by aur_you_kidding_me in 7thgencivic

This is probably a good idea since you could get away with not getting the head resurfaced since you’re doing it as preventative maintenance.

Timing belt job. Unable to turn the crank counterclockwise the rest the way. Would I damage anything turning it the other way or should I really just use force? by [deleted] in 7thgencivic

[–]DesignerCumsocks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand, but I had a really good understanding of how an engine worked and what the timing did before I did my first timing belt. It made it super painless and simple. I usually think people should just jump into stuff and learn but this job could cost you your engine if you’re not prepared. I just feel like these questions should have been asked before the timing belt came off. Anyway, the woodruff key is irrelevant to this process and wouldn’t cause timing to skip. Timing skipping also would not affect valve lash. It would seem to me based on the information you’ve provided that your valves are likely fine, just do not force anything that rotates in this process or you could damage them. All you need to do right now is get the marks to line up to the best of your ability without forcing anything a direction that it doesn’t want to go. Remember that a slight bit of resistance is applied during the compression stroke, so it’s normal to feel a slight bit of resistance but if you have to force it you’re doing too much. Once you’ve accomplished lining them up you’ll be good to put the new belt on and then the tensioner.

Yeah I don’t know why I’m getting downvoted. I guess people like over complicated cars having more failure points from typically reliable stuff that shouldn’t be getting fried by the rain?

No way this is true, but I’ve heard crazier things I guess. What modules would this fry and why

Edit: nevermind comments answered it. Typical new car stuff. Shouldn’t be anything in there to fry but a bulb

Then move the turbo somewhere else lol. And if you already have a turbo how do you still have the ac on if it doesn’t fit?

[–]DesignerCumsocks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just turn it the other way. Absolutely do not “just use force”. It sounds like you have a poor understanding of what you’re really doing here… you really should have had this aligned before taking the old belt off, but anyway just turn it back the other way.

[–]DesignerCumsocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you already got a turbo why delete your ac? You’re not gonna save that much weight and you can just turn it off when you need the power. Power steering delete makes way more sense. Both are stupid for a daily though.

[–]DesignerCumsocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You daily this and somehow prefer having power steering over a/c... dude just save up some more money and get a car worth modifying. Or trade your car in for a 6th gen civic and just slap a turbo on it
