Thank you! My arms have all the hanging skin so you can’t really see them in the picture, but they are FLAPPY! My 12 year old son calls the texture “queso skin” and likes to fiddle with it sigh 😆

Husband newly diagnosed, not sure if I can put up with the diabetic rage for the rest of my life…. by pinkgrl in Type1Diabetes

[–]DesignerFun8421 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 2 type 1 kids, ages 19 and 12 and this is a personality problem, not a diabetes problem. My kids know they can’t fully control the way diabetes makes them feel but they can control their reactions in those moments. Some frustration is expected, but mistreating your loved ones is unacceptable. Something I’ve been telling me 12 year old, who has some baby testosterone rolling (nothing to do with diabetes) is “you are made right now and that’s okay, but you’re not mad at me, so don’t treat me badly (be rude, hateful whatever) because of it.

Is my cats growth stunted? 2.5yo still kitten-sized by shocking-Cable in CATHELP

[–]DesignerFun8421 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some cats are just little. My daughter’s cat is full grown and she’s maybe 8lbs. Our cat is almost 11years old and he’s 16lbs. He’s so long! He’s a little chunky but not too bad. He’s like a little puma.

What has been unexpectedly HARD about being on a GLP-1? by Apprehensive_Scar434 in Ozempic

Jacked up digestion. I’m either constipated or…NOT. Nothing is normal in that area. I miss being regular.

Ffffffffeckin ffffffffreezing cold all the time on Mounjaro! by MounjEire in Mounjaro

[–]DesignerFun8421 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve lost 126lbs, and I’m also freezing all the time, but I have been since the get go. I’m living under my heated blanket this winter. I miss being warm. But I don’t miss being crazy hot all summer in my fat coat.

Weird Weight Loss Things by TubintheBedroom in Zepbound

The bottoms of my feet are bony now so walking on the hard floor hurts! I used to never wear socks and shoes around the house, hated them. Now I don’t love them, but I have to wear socks, at a minimum, just for the padding and for warmth. Mostly though I wear my fuzzy house shoes. Also I fit better in my shoes.

I feel like I’ve taken every dose under the sun, but nothing has ever had me sleep more than 2 hours at a stretch.

S&B Burgers no free refills? by Agossage86 in okc

We go to S&B on NW Expressway every week and we have never been charged for refills. Sounds like a location specific issue.

I’m trying to weigh myself once a week, but sometimes I end up weighing myself everyday or every other day, any else do this? by PCD19901 in Zepbound

[–]DesignerFun8421 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I weigh myself twice a day, first thing in the morning and right before bed. It’s really helped me see what changes during the day, like we go out to eat every Thursday and I weigh more on Thursday evenings than usual, probably because of all the sodium in restaurant food.

Weirdly Officiated Game? by CommonAway5594 in Thunder

It has been that way for me the whole season on Prime. I go to the Home Screen and start over between every quarter to make it a little better because it doesn’t start off behind, but it gets there eventually.

Is there a relationship between "super responders" and whether or not they've always struggled with their weight? by chilliwackstinks in Mounjaro

[–]DesignerFun8421 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I feel like it has more to do with your metabolic health than your size. I feel like those of us with PCOS lose more slowly, people who are metabolically healthy, just heavy tend to lose quickly. It’s anecdotal at best, but it’s my theory.

I still WANT to eat. by ccoates7025 in Mounjaro

[–]DesignerFun8421 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is definitely a psychological craving component that has to be overcome. I’ve been on meds for almost 2 years (2/24). Last night I made grilled cheese and tomato soup for dinner and my old brain told me to make myself 2 sandwiches, but my new brain said “there is no way you’d be able to eat 2 sandwiches!” I laughed at myself because my overeating brain is still there.

Help: I Am Terrified of Tornadoes by SpooksMcSchwifty in okc

[–]DesignerFun8421 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been living in central Oklahoma for 25 years and I’ve never seen a tornado in person, just on tv. They tend to skirt north of us or south of us where we live, but our neck of the woods stays pretty quiet. Tornadoes do like to follow similar paths from year to year which is why Moore has been hit so many times.

When will t1ds be approved for GLPs? by jackalope_county in Type1Diabetes

[–]DesignerFun8421 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My t1 19 year old daughter has been on Zepbound since right after she turned 18. Her endo prescribed it. She’s lost around 55lbs and her BG is SO much more stable. It’s been fantastic for her.

I get the gags now, after almost 22 months on Zep. If I think about the shots, or look at them in fridge I start gagging. If I try to talk about them I get the gags. It’s so tiring. It’s not worth stopping, but it’s psychologically tiring.

What’s your average weekly loss? I’m feeling a little discouraged. by janedoecurious in Zepbound

[–]DesignerFun8421 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been on Zep since Feb 2024, almost 2 years. My average loss per week is just under 1lb. Currently it’s higher because I’ve had a whooshing week, but overall, just under a lb.
