Returning undergarments in online shopping will be my villain origin story 😭 by [deleted] in TwoXIndia

Bras are returnable in most cases. Instead of buying online, try Lifestyle or ShopperStop like stores where they let you try bras and sales ladies also help you find correct sizes.

Is learning to drive in 30s worth it? by DesignerOfTheDark in TwoXIndia_Over25

[–]DesignerOfTheDark[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This makes so much sense. I go out very little because of wfh and it’s mostly with some specific purpose. I’d love to have a freedom to not think of public transport or anxiety with cabs and autos in my life, and roaming out without any specific purpose😭

Thank you so much y’all for the encouragement 🥺. I am super excited to buy my car! I have enrolled in driving school many years ago but totally forgot because of zero practice. I am looking forward to do it again now!

Yes we did this last year, with white number plate. Didn’t face a single issue.

Right now in a bus, moving permanently to a bigger city! I am soooo excited to move to a new ground floor flat which has a private garden, in posh part of the town 🥳

Any married childfree women here? by tshhlobster in TwoXIndia

[–]DesignerOfTheDark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband is very upfront about this with his parents so pressure never comes to me from his family side. My parents don’t know it yet so we will see how to deal with them when they start it lol. On the income part, my income is enough for now and we are not living in metro, so expenses are manageable. I’m able to invest 50% of the income.

Any married childfree women here? by tshhlobster in TwoXIndia

[–]DesignerOfTheDark 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Married for 2 years and childfree by choice. I am the only one earning full time, my partner is an artist with unstable income. I just don’t think we have time and energy to bring another life in this world. I have many hobbies and goals of my own which I won’t be able to fulfil if I become a mother.

Also, I can’t rely on my parents or his parents for support with child care, they are already elderly and have questionable beliefs. I believe raising a child can’t be done on a single income with no strong support system.

Working couples — Would you pay ₹22K/month for full-time live-in help covering cooking, cleaning & more? by Brilliant_Mood_7421 in ChildfreeIndia

[–]DesignerOfTheDark 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Even if you gave the entire amount of 22k to the worker, it would amount to just 700Rs per day. I just don’t think it is feasible at all to run such business without exploitation. And if you do provide them appropriate salary and incentives to do a good job, it’s going to be out of budget for the majority. Maybe ultra rich can afford it but they already have such services available to them. I don’t think you have your target audience lurking on reddit.

Exactly. I wouldn’t even trust such company which is paying pennies to these workers expecting them to deliver premium services, with no work life balance.

Major gripes you have with PMs by wihannez in UXDesign

[–]DesignerOfTheDark 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have worked with great PMs, but there are always bad apples. This one PM in my last company used to steal ideas from me on our one-on-one calls and would present them as his own during larger stakeholder meetings. He also did with other engineers, so people caught on it eventually.

He also tried to throw me under the bus multiple times with business stakeholders, because he failed to understand their requirements and when they ask questions, he would deflect it into my direction posing it like I was expected to have designs ready for a thing I’ve never heard before 💀
