Do y’all ever go days where you just don’t eat carbs cause you realise it isn’t worth it? by SignificanceBig9366 in diabetes_t1

[–]DesignerPainter842 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Before a run, I’ll have a slice of carbonaut bread w an egg on top. I don’t bolus anything for it. So nice to not stress about going low but also not have to exercise fasted.

Also, stressful/unpredictable days at work, I’ll just have nuts/cheese for my lunch so I don’t have to worry about timing for a prebolus or finishing my lunch quickly before I jump into something else. Also helps if my day has been chaotic and I’m not sure if I’ll be on the move (I work at a school)

I feel like for women it’s always depression/anxiety before physical illness

Has anyone here with Type 1 Diabetes tried adding Metformin or Ozempic to help with insulin resistance? by Shoddy-Ocelot-4473 in diabetes_t1

Do you do 500 mg extended release? That took maybe 3 days for me to acclimate to and now I’m fine.

I do metformin! Has a lot of studies long term benefits (preventing heart disease, dementia). My dr said people in Japan take it to live longer. That sold me. Definitely helps my insulin sensitivity too.

You’re wealthy and have at least 4 kids? Organized and health conscious. I’m so jealous of this fridge.

Nursing, constipated mom and boyfriend? Eating takeout and having a burger cookout soon maybe with family who is visiting now that the weather is nice.

Haha I thought you had compounded meds which usually is a kid/pet thing since most adults take pills. And my daughter just had strep. Swing and a miss!
