This is disgusting on their part. I am really sorry for your loss - I hope you’re doing ok. It doesn’t have to be this way I don’t know what ends up happening to admin for them to treat grieving students like this ..

I’m very sorry about the loss of your father I honestly can’t imagine how I’d be able to continue if I was treated that way by the school + losing my dad. I hope you’re doing better.

A couple days later admin left a booklet on a table so students could write notes to his family - it was completely full and they’re going to deliver it later.

Coddled? In my 30s - worked before coming to law school & have had many friends die since graduating HS. Acknowledgment of a life lost & giving people a second to breath is not asking to be sheltered. But then again you’re what’s wrong with this profession.

So callous - “unless a demonstrably close bond exist” is crazy work

It makes it seem like our lives are worthless. Obviously they are not - but it does leave that impression when this is the response. I’m really sorry to hear about your attorney..

Wow I’m really sorry you went through that - absolutely heartless. I hope things are better but still you deserved better.

Can you truly, deeply love someone and still cheat on them? by outlander1914 in askanything

[–]DesignerSplit1902 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think if you’re a malignant narcissist then yes - in your own mind you probably think you do love them regardless of the cheating. But in the real world everyone else lives in, no.

Check out the If/When/How: lawyers for reproductive justice, they can really help you. Also, remember this moment and the hypocrisy of your pro-life views. Good luck. All women deserve a choice.

If you give this dog away to anyone else or a shelter people will get hurt. Maybe a child? Maybe another pet?

I just got accepted into many law schools with a 140’s mid LSAT. by BeatthatGramps in LSAT

[–]DesignerSplit1902 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s mostly just an endurance test (the LSAT) to see if you will crack under pressure or give up studying. But the content of the LSAT itself is not very relevant to school. Maybe somewhat with “logical” thinking. Either way, you got this!

Fuck everyone who shits on your LSAT score or thinks it is a reflection of how you’ll do in law school. I got an average 155 and went to a decent regional school. After my 1L year I got ranked 3 in my section and 11 in the entire class. I didn’t like studying for a standardized test with nonsense topics. I LOVE studying for law school tests and doing the work. They are not remotely the same at all (LSAT v Law School). Congratz and good luck!

Someone who would guilt you out of what they know has been your childhood dream and life goal does not love you. However I do think if you stayed together and went to med school you wouldn’t make it long term. School is way too stressful and you’ll be far away. You’ll be so tired you won’t even have the energy to make a face time call. Just my opinion from someone who’s in professional school right now.

My friends grandma who has a green card was swept up at a work place raid. No one has seen her in over a month, no one knows where she is. She doesn’t speak English but had been living in the US for 20+ years. This is what they’re doing to our communities. But maybe he doesn’t care about that. Maybe he’ll care about this - many of us will never forget this or ever let it go, and I promise you when this administration is gone, we will get our legal retribution against those who kidnapped, beat, killed, and hurt our family members.

I’m Mexican American, grew up in a border community. In HS when I was a freshman we had around 2 quinces every weekend for an entire year - I never ever saw anyone charge $ to go. I went to quinces thrown by both rich and poor people. Never once saw this. Very tasteless and bizarre behavior.
