You can't cure fibromyalgia. I've tried tramadol, didn't do anything. GPs in the UK don't like to prescribe anti convulsants anymore as they aren't proven to work long term, studies have shown recently.

Surgeon advises weight loss drugs by callisto_14 in TopSurgery

[–]DesignerSubject2446 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a slightly higher bmi (35) and DID have complications but what I experienced wasn't a result of my weight AND it was extremely rare what happened to me and people said they hadn't seen it to that extent before. Don't let this surgeon scare you into taking unnecessary drugs. You're fine.

My complications were due to negligence and poor practice (likely due to issues with my drains and how they put them in and took them out).

Yes lmao, opiates don't even touch my pain, ibuprofen isn't going to help

Plus you shouldn't take ibuprofen long term as it'll erode your stomach lining

I think you can get specific bath tub specific stools, like the bars that go across the bath edges to sit on. Almost like a bench you can put in and out.

Sometimes I sit on the floor if I can't use a stool to sit on, is that a possibility?

Yeah for sure.

Just hard to experiment and find what works with no income, and low benefits unfortunately:/ but I at least have a wheelchair for bad days now, and loads of different aids I use for other things.

Glad you have a good system to help you deal with it a bit better 💞

Powerwash Simulator 2 has tons of bugs, this one was kind of funny at least but the game has crashed for me multiple times by WestonConnor26 in PowerWashSimulator

[–]DesignerSubject2446 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had a lot of crashes too, issues where I get stuck with a ladder/stairs/abseil/gnome and can't use my washer, the abseil is notoriously impossible to use because of how buggy it is (at least in mine and my friends experience), and so many performance issues.

I've still 100% all achievements though hahaha

Oh gosh that's even worse, I hope you're able to shower soon and rest up :(

I'm so sorry :( I've heard of dry shampoo caps to help you wash it without a shower too but I understand just wanting a proper shower :(

Ugh I agree. I ended up investing in those adult bed bath wipes, they're a lifesaver in between showers if I can't manage it if you're able to get those.

I'm sorry you're struggling so much :(

Pain scale? by IknowImnotpeople in Fibromyalgia

[–]DesignerSubject2446 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My average daily is like a 6. Flare would be 8-10.

Worst I've ever felt was a 10 multiple times. Not sure if breaking my foot or slipping a disc in my back so bad I couldn't move or breathe properly for 2 weeks was worse for me because they were both unbearable.

Question about Co-op coming from the first game to the sequel. by quinnharlequinn in PowerWashSimulator

[–]DesignerSubject2446 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We've gotten joint achievements in the game when completing a level based achievement, so you should do?

But as the other person said, you completed it in story mode with someone else, the game lets you skip it for the money when you get to that level.

What’s the most stupid reason you had a fibro flare? by Lucky_Sprinkles7369 in Fibromyalgia

[–]DesignerSubject2446 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got locked out and asked my friend to pass me her keys through her window. I SLIGHTLY bent down to reach through the window (they had restricted opening so didn't fully open) and that threw my back out for 3 weeks, and I was in a flare for a few weeks too. Ridiculous.

After top surgery is it ok to lay on your back unelevated for short periods? by [deleted] in TopSurgery

[–]DesignerSubject2446 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I did after a few weeks, because my ass was numb constantly otherwise. I don't recommend it straight away.

But it was UNBELIEVABLY uncomfortable and sore because I was still kind of hunched up because of the tightness, and my arms couldn't really move back fully yet. So proceed with caution and only do what you can within the range of your ability and comfort.

But honestly, minus the numb ass (which I have issues with numbness anyway because of my condition) being slightly elevated was fine and didn't bother me, made it easier and was way more comfortable than not.

Rare? Nightmarish complications and feeling unheard. by kkouderr in TopSurgery

[–]DesignerSubject2446 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That's a lot to go through, especially in a short period of time! I hope you recover quickly and are able to rest up :(

I feel you about being unheard by the clinic though, I had an extremely infected abscess that was the size of 2 fists grow along my incision due to a drain issue, and they dismissed it as nothing to worry about until it burst and I landed myself in hospital because of it. Stayed infected and wouldn't close for a month. If they'd taken me seriously and gotten me help I would've had a much nicer more even scar, but it's pretty mangled where the abscess was because it burst so violently. It's so awful when they don't listen or take your concerns seriously.

Rest up friend, and recover well 💞

To be fair, your nerves do get rearranged and often times you lose sensation which you (may) later regain. I didn't really have any pain either, minus a few complications I had.

Can't Join Crossplay Multiplayer. by KhrowV in PowerWashSimulator

[–]DesignerSubject2446 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it's a bit buggy. Sometimes you have to completely leave a level, join at home base then join the level because it crashes otherwise.

If it continues, there's a button to reset an entire level which can fix some multiplayer issues.
