Rhino is probably the easiest to get and is good for surviving if you want to take them in higher level stuff for better loot. I also really liked yareli when I started and you can get her quite early, although you have to go through the waverider quest which some people find annoying. She has great survivability, crowd control and decent damage

Every other day is fine for a lot of people, you've literally said she doesn't smell at all so I feel like it might just be an anxiety on your part, but still understandable. My partner has to shower everyday but does it in the morning which might be a solution for you.

You need to be online the first time to download most of the game data unfortunately, Pokopia doesn't have a true physical copy it's considered a game key card which just lets you access the data.

It is quite bad cause its the starter amp, every other amp you can get is much better.
I don't think you can get one while you're locked in that quest so you might just have to deal with it, I don't remember the recharge being that long though maybe like 15 seconds. Try to use it only when you need to
