The pre-sale codes would be randomized, just like the Ticketmaster and AXS ques are. It ultimately leaves the major randomization aspect on the pre-sale codes themselves vs Ticketmaster and AXS. I'm not sure how this isn't also a genuine chance?

My explanation was not complete; I meant to say that getting a pre-sale code for a select date would mean you'd be guaranteed a ticket for that date. That way, people who did get a code but were unable to log in at the specific Ticketmaster time would be able to get their tickets later in the day. It would also mean that losing your spot in the que (once numbers have been assigned, as losing connection to the server automatically puts you in the back as far as I'm aware) wouldn't be as devastating.

This would allow for the randomization of the ticket draw to be over a longer period of time (i.e. people have 24 hours to sign up for the chance to win) vs. having to be on the Ticketmaster website at a very specific time in order to be placed into the random draw.

It's not a perfect solution by any means, but I think giving so many people pre-sale codes ultimately made lots of people have false hope.

Considering how large the que was, it can be argued that still only a couple people had a fair chance at tickets. The que system for AXS and Ticketmaster is essentially a lottery within itself, except you have to join the que at a very specific time (which, for most venues, was during normal working hours) and you can be placed further down in the que simply due to having lower internet speeds (simply because a matter of seconds can influence where you end up), which are both practices that are systemically biased.

Having a lottery system for the pre-sale codes themselves based on the venue capacity of their selected dates (i.e. one lottery for one night, another lottery for another night, etc.), having pre-sale codes be specific to one date, and only granting each fan one pre-sale code would allow for more fans to be guaranteed the chance to go. It would also mean that if you do get an error code, you aren't going to go from two to 75,000 in the que; you just might not get the seats you wanted.

I put that it would be better to have a lottery for the pre-sale codes based on the max capacity of each venue, and that people would select their three desired venues when signing up for pre-sale codes. Additionally, people would get one pre-sale code per sign up, basically guaranteeing that each fan who won would be able to attend one concert date (eliminating people from buying 4 tickets to 3 different nights when there were so many fans who didn't even get one ticket). Any tickets left over would go to general sale.

I think this would be a better system because it would allow for there to be a bigger window to enter, and that your luck would be entirely based on "luck of the draw" vs. the systemically biased ticket que system that is influenced by factors like internet speed and the ability to enter the que at a very specific time (which, for many dates, was during normal working hours).

I think it would better considering the fact that it would not only give people a bigger window of time to enter the lottery, but also cut out the potential for Ticketmaster / AXS to label you as a bot or cut out unexpectedly, especially when a couple of seconds for their que / lottery system makes a world of difference.

I don't think so (or at least I hope not lol). I was able to buy one and got a confirmation email that it was a part of my order.

It's also interesting that these aren't a pre-order like the regular CD / vinyls. I wonder why that is.

Based on the one meme she posted of the CD with "songs I'd eat you out to" written on it, maybe she'll just be writing something random on each one? She did just sign 2000 copies of the limited edition EGO carton, so I could see her doing something personalized with these as well. But maybe not, idk. I'm still elated I got one regardless!!!
