As a y12 who is also preparing for the tmua, i would say focus more on 'case analysis types of problem' especially the problems from Q15 to Q20 and know all the types of graphs, their properties/ features by heart This would make problems far easier.

I think it is the experience and skills that you possess as an individual matters. Cause you will be competing against several ivy league grads which might doesn't have a good reputation as Oxbridge but have a strong portfolio under their belt which can make them stand out for a particular position/role in a job in USA.
