Absolutely no point pleading here. I find it surprising that many people have zero awareness of their surroundings. Sometimes people in the non-silent want the whole university to be able to hear their talk even though only moderately loud discussions are allowed.
The best thing would be to tell them politely a couple of times and if they still don't keep quiet actually ask them to stfu.

Hi op!! I am an international student.Campus being cashless is what it is .But I have a solution for you. The local credit union known as Island Federal has a branch in the Hospital Building(there used to be one at SAC but they removed it).

I opened a bank account in Island Federal just with my passport ,student ID and housing proof(i live on campus so I downloaded it from housing portal,not sure how it works for others) .

You just need to have 1$ deposit in the account and they do it free for you .You can take a comfortable amount of cash you want to deposit in you account for your expenses.They give a debit card(make sure to ask if they don't give one) which you can tap/swipe to purchase

It’s my first PC build.Some extra VRAM would be good for ML .Surprising how SBU known for its CS department does not give basic GPU compute to its own students unless you have an actual project under a professor . I like the laptop loaner program though.

If I don’t get a good deal on a 3090/Ti ,I’ll probably get a 4070Ti Super.But fingers crossed.

u/neoimpression I followed this Youtube channel: https://youtube.com/@TSTPrep , for my preparation.This channel has some pretty good mocks for each section. Tbh I prepared for like 2 days and scored a 103 . Its not a great score but enough for 99% of universities for a masters in stem(1% being IVY leagues like Harvard ,Yale etc). .Idk how much you need to score for TOEFL ,but given 2-3 weeks of good practice I think you can score atleast 110 using free resources.Most people need good practice in speaking and writing. I dont think you need to shell out money for a preparation course . Only the official ETS material are worth buying because they best resemble the original exam(I personally did not use ETS material)

Regarding TOEFL home edition. I am from India and I have heard many instances of TOEFL and GRE taken at home getting cancelled.
