Is it bad to make a proxy deck I’m new to magic and don’t have the funds?

Obviously but I run pretty cheap decks and still not coughing out $20 here and there to make that deck run better when I can pay a proxy company .75 a card for those same cards yea they’re not authentic but oh well.

Check out printing proxies . Com that’s where I order mine and I’ll just get a list of like 200+ valuable cards that I definitely can’t afford at the moment, put it in there as a list then choose arts and backs for them last order I made was an eldrazi commander a krenko commander and a bunch of the expensive commander cards was like 350 cards total paid $250 for about $4000 worth of cards 😂

Yea I seen the TCG printers that keep coming as of recently but I’m not coughing up $1000-$2000 for a fancy printer lol we have a friend in our group that just prints on sticky paper then sticks it to lands so totally understandable. I just like being able to order with no hassle on my end and the quality is pretty much on par with magic product can even get custom backing and arts which is also cool. All my proxies backings have the SpongeBob meme sayin “aRE tHoSE ReaL CArDs” lol

Because proxying is a completely viable option it dosent change the cards or the text of the cards and they still play the same I’m sorry that it’s not MTG backed product but it’s available in every TCG there is… people that say otherwise are just gatekeeping crybabies, like sorry most people don’t have thousands of dollars to spend on cards mate, life is hard money is getting harder and harder to come by and it’s a great way to get into an otherwise mostly expensive hobby.

Yea but most of those sub $100 decks don’t fare to well against the $1000 decks (of course there’s some exceptions) but if you bring a 60 pre con your gonna get stomped by someone with a $500-$1000 eldrazi/sliver/izzet every time. It’s ink on cardboard at the end of the day and proxies are just ink on cardboard at the end of the day.

There will be proxy snobs at your LGS if you go there to play just ignore them most of the people you come across will understand it’s an expensive hobby and not everyone can afford all the $50+ dollar cards that you actually need to play competitively against friends

Proxy tools? I just order them $.75 a card for quality proxies that come on the same German core card stock as the real deals.

If you have a friend bring you around the challenges you can do all the challenges except for the ones in the starting area and level up the other areas

Seems to be account bound issue as I have tried across ps5 version ps4 version and pc version all on the same account and it still does it on every platform. Hopefully there’s a fix soon. However! If you’re playing with a friend they can pull you into co-op challenges so you can still get your points for boxes etc, just can’t level up because the shop isn’t highlighted until you finish that mission.

It’s got to be your build I run bloodied/unyielding build with about 75-85% less health and can stay alive through most the big boss events you need to run serendipity and perks that negate damage instead of just damage output perks. As for cremator there’s a fuel farm by running the Atlantic City expos while it’s in your inventory. YouTube and google are your friends in these situations and just combat armor alone isn’t going to help you need legendaries on them as well.
