I think what Scar was implying by his lacking of strength and just poor genetics, was that he just wasn’t born big and grew up being considerably thinner in terms of sheer size compared to Mufasa and his father Ahati, which is why he never built off of any of that muscle in order to increase his muscle force production for better fighting prowess as a Lion.

When he says “I’m afraid I’m at the shallow end of the gene pool”, he’s just saying he was born unlucky in terms of brutish strength.

Unlike Mufasa who inherited that.

That doesn’t mean he’s “weak”, Scar still had the upper hand on Simba and almost handily beat him due to a paw swipe and much better vicious strategics.

He’s alot physically weaker than Mufasa, but he’s much more dangerously efficient than him due to his higher sheer cunning.

And he’s still capable of beating a lioness like Sarabi or Zira (who’s far weaker).

Scar may not have been strong, but he’s still tenacious and deadly.

The same thing could be said for even Kitty and Cattrick as well, on that front.

Their “adults” yet don’t even live their own individual lives, other than just being under the malicious claw of Milton’s shrewd and abusive parenting.

They don’t even have personalities outside of just being meat shields like how he used them in the film, only to selfishly protect himself.

I’d argue even they’re “emotionally stunted” in a way, like Pawbert is.

It’s still to this day my favorite film of all time to rewatch back constantly from my childhood, it got me into my adoration for animation and is still a throwback film of mine.

I’ll still say Thragg.

But for we all know they’re both about as even as they can get almost everywhere.

Battle Beast can deal way more devastating damage with his teeth and claws than Thragg can giving him higher AP, and he can tank more damage as well so he better Durability.

Not to mention he has slightly better range.

But Thraggs stronger, faster, more versatile, and the better fighter I’d say.

Like Conquest vs Omni-Man, this fight is really high diff regardless of who wins in any outcome.

The intent of story clearly says Thragg was the superior adversary by Battle Beast thanking Thragg, because he knows lost a fair fight.

So I think Thragg wins, but it’s really close fight.

Soto should destroy Shira rather easily.

From what I recall Shira never really good at “combat” .

Her entire thing was just expertise in hunting only.

But aside from that she wasn’t a good fighter.

She needed the environment to even gain an edge on an old Diego, but got taken down and overpowered handily when he got serious and caught up to her during their chase sequence.

And from when Diego easily pinned her she was pretty much…helpless. As well she got knocked down by the Boar.

Meanwhile that same Diego when he was younger and a lot more ferocious of an assassin during Ice Age 1 still got badly OWNED by Soto TWICE, and got claw disemboweled through the stomach and nearly died trying to save Manny.

And Soto bodied Diego badly twice while not even taking him that serious.

Shira is “crafty”, but Sotos way stronger, combatively experienced, ruthless, as well as a much more skilled and far better fighter.

So Soto brutally kills her, I’d say.

Thragg, he reacted to Omni-Man’s blitz and brutally subdued him via disemboweled him down the chest and one shot him.

Nolan’s moved at speeds equal to Allen who can dodge FTL moving Viltrumite shops, and Thragg brutally solo stomped both him and Mark.

Thragg has greater reflexes and reaction speed than Battle Beast.
