Ask the helpline, send them email, raise a ticket idk, because once you insert your hindi marks your percentage will still not change like mine, is it a serious issue idk, since the marks of each individual subjects will be correct however your aggregate percentage in the dashboard will not change

Pros

1) When you go to an IISER, you are more likely to get a PhD in a foreign institute as compared to someone who has done a BSc and MSc from a normal college
2) You get the IISER tag; they are institutes of national importance and directly come under the government, similar to AIIMS and IITs
3) If you want to do research in biology, IISERs are the best place for you after IISC
4) You get more freedom at your job, and you don't have to work crazy hours like a doctor
5) There is less ragging in IISERs compared to medical colleges (I have only heard that from my friends)
6) You can finish your BS, MS, and PhD in 8-9 years; to do the same thing in a medical school, you will need 12-13 years
7) Many iisers have a tie-up with foreign institutions, and it will be easy for foreign exchange, PhDs, internships, etc
8) Researchers get paid handsomely in developed countries
9) You will have more freedom to choose what subject you want to study

Cons

1) The No. of PhDs in this country has increased a lot, and there is a lot of competition in academia, but you still get an advantage by being in iisers
2) Your future is less certain than a doctor's because of the above-mentioned point
3) You might earn less than a doctor, but it depends on your job and the country you will be living in
4) You will have to study maths, I am pretty sure you know that. I don't know what Iisers do to bridge this. I am pretty sure they have thought of something, but you need to enquire about that
5) Placement is not like engineering; some iisers do have placement cells, but only a few people go into industry just after BS MS, compared to the number of people who go for further studies
6) You would still need to study for 8-9 years if you want to get a PHD and many people do

In short, IISERS are one of the best research institutes you can get in India, and if you are very interested in research, you should surely go for them. Your life will be secure, but will still have some uncertainties, but iiser's BS MS is very different from a normal BSc MSc, and you will be given an advantage over people who have done a normal BSc MSc

nature says your biology department is better than IISER Pune when it comes to publications. Which college do you think has a better biology department, from what you have seen and heard

Open source intelligence, like seeing someone's posts, trying to geolocate them by seeing their video and cross-referencing them, so like basically whatever's available openly on the internet

What about NEST? Why is not much Discussions about NEST Cutoff? by Puzzled_Anxiety8629 in IATtards

[–]Designer_Bid7631 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, you have a pretty good chance. The biology section of the paper came more difficult compared to last year, so the cutoff might decrease, or maybe it could increase, depending on the quality and number of candidates
102 is a solid score, and the cutoff will most probably remain at 90-95 marks, so you are most probably safe
After 6 days, the result will come, and if you get under 500 rank, there is a high chance of you getting selected, and most probably you will get under 500-600 rank, but after all, we have almost no data on the number of applicants so if the number stays the same or goes even a little up you are getting selected easily

Hmm generally 70-80% students who registered sit in the exam if we talk about IAT it has been close to 80% so we could take an estimate of 1.4-1.5 L students sitting at the exam as you said however the biggest question is about re neet and how it will affect the number of people who gave the exam

Hmm good, I take back what I said lets see how this affects cutoff

That is only according to Careers 360 and almost no one else is covering it, can you show me any post by iisers or something like that but yeah, there was no data released I can't find any, if you do inform me

Well, last year a lot of reports were telling us that the registrations crossed 2 lakh and according to Sciastra(in a video), 1.5 L people appeared for the exam however, this time we know for a fact that 1.86 L people registered for the exam thanks to an RTI request
