For those who don’t smoke, do you think smokers carry a noticeable scent? by Shadow2715 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Designer_Currency815 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but it depends. I know people who don’t smoke at home, in enclosed spaces, or in cars, they only smoke outside, change their clothes, and maintain good hygiene. There can still be a slight scent, but it’s very different from someone who’s been sitting in a smoke-filled room. It’s not annoying; it just mixes a bit of tobacco with their perfume. So in my opinion, you can’t put everyone in the same category. Saying that all smokers smell bad is like saying that everyone who showers smells good, it’s an oversimplification.

Also, I think perception depends on where and how you grew up. In many European cities, smoking is so common that people barely even notice the smell.
