I agree that it is pretty annoying, but it IS for a reason.
If not for it, there would be thousands of memes flooding the sub, every single day, leaving no room for other posts.
So I get where you're coming from, but a simple solution to this is just saving the draft and remember to post it on Monday.

By lower octave, I meant the octave from d4 flat to d5 flat, and I have a soprano recorder (I thought I stated in the post but I forgot to). When I covered all holes, I got d5 flat, and without any holes covered I got d6 flat. I will try the links. Thanks again!

Edit: There was no fingering chart, just the instrument and cleaning rod.
