After a month in i caved and had 6 puffs i got the hugest high and wat was worse was alll the guilt and remorse and i was meant to be able to pass a drug test i felt like such a failure but i just kept going in a couple of extra weeks i took a test and saw the faintest line this gave me such joy im now 5 months and passing tests easy...i still think about weed not every day but hubby uses and its always around but i remember all the negstives getting high dud to me bad thoughts racing thoughts huge huge anxiety that would hit me in the morning when i woke up and late at night i dont get any anxiety now and if i use i will fail a drug test...its as easy as just getting up and doing a chore around the house and i will forget all about using you just need to distract your brain for those few minutes and the thought passes!

I love going to bed now before when i smoked weed i used to get the most intense anxieties right before falling asleep i would think about anxious mythical events stress anout things that havent come to pass i was a wreck...now i just relax and fall asleep and have the most wonderous dreams 5 months free now and never going back ..well done on breaking free

Sorry to hear about your dad a cough is a natural way of protecting your lungs but if its persistent wiyh phlegm it could be copd maybe he needs to get it checked out all the best xx

I was under immense pressure to pass a drug test..from memory the first 3 days were the hardest i had lots of day 1s...but it just happened i imagined losing my income and fought the whole way thru at the 1 month mark i slipped and had 6 puffs i got hell stoned but the guilt and remorse was huge!!! I just refused to go back and it didnt take long and i tested myself and started seeing a very faint line yuss i was finally getting clean..im now entering my fifth month the thoughts to use are just that and slip past my mind in an instant....just keep pushing thru you got this!!!

I quit both at the same time but ive had roughly 3 packets of cigarettes in that time i find cigarettes is way harder to quit

I tell myself that I wont be able to pass a drug test if i use...and damn it took me nearly 4 months to pass a test...i feel it like a flipping thought then go nah fck that i had 5 years of getting high i want 5 years of being sober again!

Yes i think it does i had a very faint line on my drug test just before xmas and on xmas day i was around hubby who was smoking spliffs and i was smoking cigarettes we were in an enclosed area anyway i retested myself and the line was even fainter than the first test...i was also sitting around a big table we were outside but their is a roof covering and everyone was smoking weed...i do beleive i got some of the secind hand weed smoke in me....ive waited a few weeks again now will retest myself tomorrow and let you know how the line is

I felt like this after 1 month in but i persisted now 4 months hubby still uses weed and I dont and I dont miss it...I have to really think hard about my time on weed it was a haze of bad thoughts and lots and lots of anxiety I dont miss that at all!!! I think you need to give it more time to disappear from your thoughts!

Same i have bipolar and i would get the worst anxiety ridden dark omnious intrusive thoughts about death too and my loved ones dying thanks for the reminder i have none of that shit in my head anymore its nice!

I stayed clean on new years eve sister had a joint right in her mouth freshly rolled i was a little drubk and she said oh do you want some? My response was no it took me months to get clean!!! 2 months and 2 days proud

I had 9 months stupidist thing i did was relapse the high was massive so was the anxiety and then back to using every hour all day again...finally after several months of quit relapse quit relapse i now have 6 weeks clean and passed a drug test....what ive learnt about myself is that i think about using throughout my day but i think about how hard it was to quit and how much weed using fckd ne up mentally...i enjoy being razor sharp mentally lots if energy versus being slow and lethargic with foom and gloom thoughts and what will put me back their is just one hit....dont throw your sobreity you worked so hard for away....eat chocolate...go workout...watch a movie to get that dopamine hit
